After ten concerts, four singles and an album the group split up at the end of 1982. GT and Marco Repetto formed together with the former Glueams guitarist Martin Pavlinec and the drummer Dominique Uldry, the band „Missing Link“, later „Eigernordwand“. GT supplemented the futurism oriented performance group „Red Catholic Orthodox Jewish Chorus “ around performance artist Edy Marconi, in which occasionally Marco Repetto also played. Later the group changed their name to „I Suonatori“. Stephan Eicher started a successful solo career. 1988 published Martin Eicher his solo-EP „Spellbound Lovers“. Marco Repetto started in 1989 a new career as Techno and Ambient DJ, musician and producer (a.o. mittageisen v2). The band is most famous for their 1981 hit "Eisbär" ("Polar Bear"), which was later covered by the French band Nouvelle Vague. The single went to #12 in Germany and #6 in Austria.
After leaving the group, Stephan Eicher embarked on a solo career in France.
Hinter den Bergen
Grauzone Lyrics

Fordert Harlekin
Schamlos grinsend
Artemis zum Tanz
Hinter den Bergen
Greift Henri Genet
Zum Golfschläger
Hinter den Bergen
Mit den Siamesischen Zwillingen
Zum Walzertakt
Hinter den Bergen
Kneift Maggie T.
Queen Elisabeth
In den Hintern
Das war hinter den Bergen ...
The lyrics in Grauzone's song "Hinter den Bergen" depict a surreal scene taking place behind the mountains. Harlequin, wearing his signature mask, boldly demands that Artemis dance with him while shamelessly grinning at her. Behind the mountains, Henri Genet grabs a golf club and prepares to swing. Meanwhile, Eva Braun, perhaps best known as Adolf Hitler's mistress, dances with Siamese twins to the rhythm of a waltz. Finally, Maggie T. pinches Queen Elizabeth in the butt.
It's difficult to discern a coherent narrative or message from these lyrics, but what is clear is that they create a jarring, unsettling atmosphere. The image of famous historical figures and mythical characters engaging in various acts of violence, perversion, and absurdity creates a sense of chaos, of a reality gone askew. Perhaps the song is a commentary on the delusional nature of power, the ways in which those in positions of authority and influence can become detached from reality and behave in strange, unpredictable ways. The chorus, "That was behind the mountains," serves to reinforce the sense of distance and unreality.
Overall, the lyrics to "Hinter den Bergen" are impressionistic and enigmatic, creating a mood of surreal, dreamlike unease. The song's lyrics defy simple interpretation, instead presenting a series of bizarre, disjointed images that invite the listener to construct their own meaning from them.
