Their 2004 album, Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills, which peaked at No. 4, won the 2005 'Best Rock Album Award' at the ARIA Music Awards.

Blinking big red sticking ball
Your hunting over exposure
I'm doing nothing at all
I need a little bit
A little bit
A little bit
I need a little bit
A little bit
A little bit
Eye needle bit
Eye needle bit
Give me a hit
Slack me a laxative donor
My white teeth work chemistry
That dog can bark all it want's to
I needle bit can't you see?
I need a little bit
A little bit
A little bit
I need a little bit
A little bit
A little bit
Eye needle bit
Eye needle bit
Give me a hit
I need a hit
Is it worth it? just a little bit, little bit, little bit
Yeah I need a little bit, a little bit, a little bit
Yeah I need a little bit, a little bit, a little bit
Give me a hit!
The song "Post Enebriated Anxiety" by Grinspoon revolves around the theme of addiction and the impact it has on the lives of individuals. The lyrics are metaphorical and use imagery to depict the chaos and confusion that addiction brings. The singer seems like an addict in turmoil, suffering from extreme anxiety and cravings for a hit. He uses drugs as a coping mechanism to deal with his problems and is in a constant state of searching for that little bit to ease his pain.
The opening lines of the song, "Looks like dem baddies got bloated, blinking big red sticking ball," depict the hallucinations or distorted perception that the singer is experiencing as a result of drug use. He goes on to explain how he needs a little bit, which indicates that he is seeking his next hit to quell his addiction. The mention of "eye needle bit" could represent the drug injection, and "slack me a laxative donor, my white teeth work chemistry" highlights the physical effects that addiction has on the body.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the importance of a hit to the singer, as he repeats "I need a little bit, a little bit, a little bit" multiple times to emphasize his dependency. He questions whether it's worth it to keep going, indicating that he may be aware of the negative effects of addiction, but his cravings are too strong to resist. The song ends with the singer pleading for a hit, signifying the cycle of addiction that he can't break free from.
