I maybe an English speaking Russian and not a Filipino, but this Christmas song reminds me of the good years when I was assigned to the Philippines in the 1970s and 1980s from time to time. Reminds me also of a young Filipina that I almost married but she does not know that I am Russian. So I have to keep myself in check. At least my only consolation is that she is happily married and has children and has a good and loving family whom she loves and who loves her back. She is now a grandmother.
