Visions in red
All that I dreamed
And all that I've bled
My mind is a gun
I won't be outdone
Say what you want
While I shoot for the sun
All you doubters and haters, actors, and fakers
I don't have time for you, whoa
You're feeding the fire that's taking me higher
Coming like a cannonball
Oh, it's kicking down your door
Kicking down your door
Oh, so what you waiting for
What you waiting for
Scream
Scream
Scream
Till they hear your scream
Step out of the haze
Sleep walkers awake
The pills that they give
You don't have to take
Don't want to see light
They cover our eyes
Yesterday's dead
Tomorrow's alive
All you movers and shakers
Freaks and hell raisers
We're climbing over your walls
You're feeding the fire that's taking us higher
Coming like a cannonball
Oh, it's kicking down your door
Kicking down your door
Oh, so what you waiting for
What you waiting for
Scream
Scream
Scream
Till they hear your scream
Scream
Scream
Till they hear your scream
Oh, it's kicking down your door
Kicking down your door
Oh, so what you waiting for
What you waiting for
Scream
Scream
Scream
Till they hear your scream
Scream
Scream
Till they hear your scream
The lyrics of Halestorm's song Scream are about empowerment and breaking free from the limitations that society places on us. The singer is fueled by the dreams and experiences that have shaped them, and they refuse to let anyone stand in their way. The lyrics juxtapose the singer's vivid and imaginative inner world with the dullness of the world outside, where people are asleep and content with the status quo. The chorus is a rallying cry for everyone who feels trapped and silenced: "Scream, scream, scream, till they hear your scream."
The second verse specifically addresses those who have been given pills to numb their minds and keep them docile. The singer insists that they don't have to take the pills and should instead step out of their haze and join the rest of us. The chorus repeats, and the song ends with a final call to action: "Scream, scream, till they hear your scream."
Overall, Scream is an anthem for anyone who feels trapped by their circumstances and wants to break free. It encourages people to dream big, think for themselves, and refuse to be silenced or held back by others.

A friend of mine had her first pro boxing match 3 days ago. I convinced her to walk out to this song and she loved it. She won by TKO in the 3rd round, and while it cannot be attributed to either this song or myself, this song will always be a symbol of that moment. Thank you Halestorm!
