Halford's first album "Resurrection" was included in Martin Popoff's "The Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums of All Time". As well, the songs "Silent Screams" and the title-track "Resurrection" were included in Popoff's list. The track "The One You Love to Hate" included guest vocalist Bruce Dickinson, from Iron Maiden.
In 2002, Halford released the second studio album "Crucible", although no live recordings have been officially released to promote this album. A high-quality soundboard bootleg titled "Live - From the Disney House of Blues" was made available for download along with a special DEP at Robhalford.com in 2004. Halford released bonus tracks in Japan, such as "She", "Fugitive", "Rock the World Forever" and "In the Morning".
On November, 2006, Halford released a single set from the Halford IV album, titled "Forgotten Generation." The first wave of Halford releases included remastered editions of his solo band's back catalogue and initially releasing them through Apple's online iTunes Store. Fight also celebrated a release, an early recording entitled "K5- War of Words Demos," which were the demos that Rob Halford had recorded back when Fight had first formed. Lastly, a compilation was included, called "Metal God Essentials, Vol. 1," which not only had the fans' favorite Halford tunes, but also had new songs called "Forgotten Generation" and "Drop Out."
Rob Halford's third solo record, entitled "Halford III - Winter Songs", was released worldwide through all retailers on November 3, 2009. The record features new tracks recorded by his solo band between 2008–2009, as well as traditional Christmas songs re-arranged to heavy metal renditions by Halford himself. The first single, "Get Into the Spirit" was released to radios on September 29, 2009.
On June 25, 2010, Halford released the first single, "The Mower", from his fourth solo studio album, "Halford IV - Made Of Metal", which was released in October 2010.

Twenty-Five Years
Halford Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When the moment started
It creeps up
When you least expect to fail
You try to tell yourself
That you are selfless
But that's the big mistake
That sets your sail
The signs are all around you
But you miss them
You turn your back
On every friend you know
The games you play
To justify your madness
Will leave you crying
For the pain that grows
[Chorus]
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
I tried to be a man and face my fears
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
I've had the devil on my back for twenty five years
For when you fall
You have to reach the bottom
And count your blessings
That you're still alive
That's when you look
To someone who was with you
At every single step
Right by your side
It's said from this you grow
Inside much stronger
That may be true
But I am still so weak
There's days that seem
So endless makes me wonder
Will something come
To close this losing streak
[Chorus]
I'm tired and so lonely
From this journey
And still can't figure out
Some things I've said
But all I know
Is there's a place that's calling
I'll find that place
And rest my weary head
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
I tried to be a man
And face my fears
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
I've had the devil on my back
For twenty five years
The song "Twenty-Five Years" by Halford touches on the themes of regret, self-reflection, perseverance, and redemption. The lyrics suggest a sense of loneliness and exhaustion after struggling with personal demons for twenty-five years. The singer appears to be experiencing a period of self-discovery, looking back at his life and trying to make sense of his path. He acknowledges that he's made mistakes and hurt those around him but has also learned from those experiences. The chorus emphasizes his resilience and determination to overcome his struggles and be a better person.
The verses describe the internal turmoil that the singer has battled with for years. He is haunted by his past mistakes and is unable to break free from a cycle of self-destruction. The lyrics suggest that he has lost sight of what is truly important in life, including his relationships with friends and family. The use of metaphors such as "creeping up" and "sets your sail" suggest that he is unable to control his own destiny and is a slave to his own emotions.
The chorus provides a powerful message of hope and resilience. The repetition of "twenty-five years" emphasizes the amount of time the singer has spent struggling but also implies that he has learned from those years of pain. He has faced his fears and is striving to become a better man. The final lines suggest that he has found a sense of peace and is ready to move on from his past mistakes.
Overall, "Twenty-Five Years" is a poignant song that speaks to the struggles and triumphs of the human experience. It offers a message of hope for those who are going through difficult times and encourages them to persevere through any obstacles.

I can't remember
I cannot recall when it all started
When the moment started
The inception of my difficulties is uncertain
It creeps up
It sneaks up on me
When you least expect to fail
When failure is least anticipated
You try to tell yourself
You attempt to convince yourself
That you are selfless
That you are altruistic
But that's the big mistake
That is where the fault lies
That sets your sail
That steers you off course
The signs are all around you
The warning signals encircle you
But you miss them
You ignore them
You turn your back
You betray your companions
On every friend you know
On all your associates
The games you play
The lies you tell to defend yourself
To justify your madness
To rationalize your insanity
Will leave you crying
Will cause you to weep
For the pain that grows
In response to the burgeoning agony
[Chorus]
Refrain
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
I tried to be a man and face my fears
I attempted to be courageous and confront my apprehensions
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
Twenty-five years, twenty-five years
I've had the devil on my back for twenty five years
The torment has trailed me for two and a half decades
For when you fall
After you stumble
You have to reach the bottom
You must hit rock bottom
And count your blessings
And appreciate what you still have
That you're still alive
That you're not yet dead
That's when you look
That's when you seek
To someone who was with you
To the person who supported you
At every single step
Throughout the journey
Right by your side
By your side
It's said from this you grow
It's believed that you develop from this
Inside much stronger
Internally much more robust
That may be true
That might be accurate
But I am still so weak
However, I'm still incredibly feeble
There's days that seem
There are times that appear
So endless makes me wonder
So interminable that I become curious
Will something come
Will something arrive
To close this losing streak
To terminate this sequence of defeats
[Chorus]
Refrain
I'm tired and so lonely
I'm exhausted and desolate
From this journey
From this expedition
And still can't figure out
And I still can't comprehend
Some things I've said
Some of the things I've expressed
But all I know
But what I'm aware of
Is there's a place that's calling
Is that there's somewhere beckoning
I'll find that place
I'll locate that place
And rest my weary head
And lay down my fatigued head
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
I tried to be a man
I tried to act like a responsible adult
And face my fears
And confront my fears
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
Twenty-five years
I've had the devil on my back
I've been struggling with a demon for a quarter of a century
For twenty five years
For a duration of twenty-five years
