Keep ya head on straight
No don′t make it up
(Don't make it up)
People change
Or i′ll never stay sane
But i keep it up
(But i keep it up)
Can it be?
Those tears have gold
Ooh, what a night to remember
Every time I need a fix
I can get it
It's easy not to be with it
Every time I need my fix
I can get it
It's easy not to be with it
Just something else that I surrender to
Talk to me baby
Nothing else I think I would rather do right
This time
Can it be?
Those tears have gold
Ooh, what a night to remember
Every time I need my fix
I can get it
It′s easy not to be with it
Every time I need my fix
I can get it
It′s easy not to be with it
Every time I need my fix
I can get it
It's easy not to be with it
Every time I need my fix
I can get it
It′s easy not to be with it
The lyrics of Harald Kloser & Thomas Wander's song Evolet speak about the struggle of maintaining one's sanity in a world where everything is constantly changing. The singer acknowledges the fact that people change, and it can be challenging to keep up with them, but he/she chooses to maintain their composure despite the adversity. The lyrics suggest that the singer is dealing with something that they cannot ignore or do without, something that they depend on to get through tough times. The phrase "Every time I need my fix, I can get it" emphasizes the urgency of the situation and shows that the singer is dependent on something to keep going.
The lines "Just something else that I surrender to, talk to me baby, nothing else I think I would rather do right this time" suggest that the singer has found some sort of solace in a person who they can talk to whenever they feel overwhelmed. The singer loves talking to this person, and they would instead do nothing else than talk to this person when they need a release.
Overall, the song Evolet seems to be about finding something to hold on to when everything else is falling apart. The lyrics reveal a struggle between the need for something to make life bearable and the desire to stay sane in a world that is constantly changing.
