A crooked man with a crooked hand grabbed me by mine
Shook me up
I'll take you away from this place
Where they never will find you
Don't listen to the man with the money in his hand
He comes disguised in honour and rags
He is your favourite nightmare
To punish those, whoever stands in front of him
Follow me
Down to the river
Follow me
To the shore
Follow me
I am your shelter
I'll be around
I was crawling round the bend just the other last Friday
A misread man with a mislead hand was in decline
Cooked it up
He took me away and they never will find me
Don't listen to the man who drives you insane
He wears diamond studded rings
He is your insecurity
Holding your hand
To give you those things, you never really need him
Follow me
Down to the river
Follow me
To the shore
Follow me
I am your shelter
I'll be around
In "Follow Me," Harry describes encounters with two different men who try to exert control over him. The first man, described as crooked, grabs Harry's hand and shakes him up, promising to take him away from his current situation where he won't be found. This man is characterized as deceptive, hiding behind money and disguising himself as honorable and ragged. Harry refers to him as a favorite nightmare, someone who talks behind his back and seeks to punish those who oppose him. The chorus of the song invites the listener to follow Harry, promising to lead them to a better place where they can find shelter.
In the second verse, Harry recalls a similar encounter with a man who is depicted as misread and deceptive. This man drives Harry insane and is associated with materialism through his diamond-studded rings. He represents insecurity, holding Harry's hand and giving him things that he doesn't truly need. Once again, Harry reiterates that he is a guiding force, inviting the listener to follow him to the river and the shore for protection.
Overall, "Follow Me" seems to be a cautionary tale about individuals who try to manipulate and control others. The lyrics reflect Harry's determination to guide listeners away from these harmful influences and towards a place of safety and freedom.

Too bad she couldn't have gotten just a fraction of the marketing given to Ke$ha. Much more talented and she actually has a voice.
