And it sounds just like a song
I want more berries and that summer feelin'
It's so wonderful and warm
Breathe me in, breathe me out
I don't know if I could ever go without
I'm just thinking out loud
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar
Strawberries on a summer evenin'
Baby, you're the end of June
I want your belly and that summer feelin'
Getting washed away in you
Breathe me in, breathe me out
I don't know if I could ever go without
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
I just wanna taste it, I just wanna taste it
Watermelon sugar high
Tastes like strawberries on a summer evenin'
And it sounds just like a song
I want your belly and that summer feelin'
I don't know if I could ever go without
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar (sugar) high
Watermelon sugar high (sugar)
Watermelon sugar high
Watermelon sugar high

I just wanna taste it, I just wanna taste it
Watermelon sugar high
I just wanna taste it, I just wanna taste it

The lyrics of Harry Styles's "Watermelon Sugar" are ripe with sensuality and nostalgia for a perfect summer. The first verse sets the tone perfectly, comparing the taste and sound of the titular fruit to strawberries on a summer evening and a song. The singer wants more of that happy, carefree feeling that he associates with summer and berries. He seems to be addressing a lover, saying that he wants their belly and that summer feeling. In the bridge, he muses that he doesn't know if he could ever go without this feeling.
This is all a preamble to the chorus and its repeated refrain of "Watermelon Sugar High." The listener is invited to imagine being washed away in this sensation, breathed in and out like air. The song is about pure pleasure for the senses- the taste of the fruit, the warmth of the season, the sound of a perfect song. The final verse echoes the first, emphasizing the importance of the singer's lover in creating this perfect moment.
Overall, the song is a nostalgic ode to a perfect summer moment that is all about the sensation of pleasure. It's sensual and full of sensory detail, capturing the feeling of nostalgia for a certain time and of wanting to hold onto a moment of pure joy and abandon.
