Intro
Heavy D & The Boyz Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's a long way, that's tough
Wait you got the audio?
Yeah
Hmm, yeah
They definitely can't hear
Wait y'all, can y'all hear this?
Back in this bitch, yeah you know that I spit
I got cash on me, yeah I be blowing them racks
Talking about rap, I be saving the cap
Got a foreign on me, drop the top on the back
(Back in this bitch, yeah you know that I spit)
(I got cash on me, yeah I be blowing them racks)
(Talking about rap, I be saving the cap)
(Got a foreign on me, drop the top on the back)
What?
That's music
You wrong, you out there, long way

Hey Bolo I think that you should just skip college, cuz your music's really good
Especially that little phone call you turned into a song

This show may have been on some 30 years ago but it was 30 years ahead of it's time. We need more shows like this where everyone can laugh and learn something.

In living Color was my show back in the 90s, as a kid everytime I heard the intro come on the TV I would literally stop whatever I was doing, sit in front of the TV and watch the show every week. R.I.P. to the great Heavy D, this song is still my jam to this day as an adult. I'll always cherish these memories.β€πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ’œ

Thank you for such a clear version of the song... with headphones, the bass is absolutely killer. Heavy D was a goddamned maestro.

Giving me so much nostalgia... I was in elementary school when ILC was on the air, and I swear I was the only kid my age whose parents allowed to watch Fox. Their reasoning was, despite the subject matter (of this, and Simpsons and Married with Children), the writing was so sharp and witty, it was worth exposing me and my siblings to it.

Classic, iconic, defined part of my 90’s. Thank you Keenan Ivory Wayans for bringing to life.
