Cartoon Moon
Heavy Stereo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Somedays don't know about you
I just need to lose my shoes
And dream of a better day
Believe that I'm on my way

Some nights
I come home late
We just been to clear some space
I don't know what I'm coming through
I just know that I'm here with you

So here's to a happy landing
Wherever we're falling to
May we always remember
These stars
This sky
And this Cartoon Moon
This Cartoon Moon
This Cartoon Moon
Shine on me
Cartoon Moon shine on you

Yeh yeh yeh woo woo woo... yeh yeh yeh

Cartoon Moon shine on me
Cartoon Moon shine on you

Overall Meaning

The song "Cartoon Moon" by Heavy Stereo is a nostalgic song about finding solace in something innocent and magical amidst the chaos and uncertainty of life. The lyrics paint a picture of the need to escape from reality and retreat into a world of dreams and imagination. The singer starts by saying that on some days, they just need to let go and wander aimlessly, imagining a better life. They create a sense of hopefulness, that even though they might not be sure of where they're going, they still believe they're on their way to something good.

The second verse speaks of coming home late at night, tired from the day's struggles and seeking comfort in the familiarity of home and loved ones. The destination might not be important, just as long as they have someone to share the journey with. Then, the song ends with a toast to life's journey, hoping that wherever it leads, they will always remember the beauty of the stars, the vastness of the sky, and the whimsy of the Cartoon Moon shining on them both.

Overall, "Cartoon Moon" is a song about finding comfort and hope in a world that can often be harsh and uncertain. The Cartoon Moon represents the hope and possibility of something magical beyond the everyday world, and the song encourages listeners to hold onto that hope and keep believing in the beauty of life.

I've said it before, and I'll gladly say it again: Gem Archer is the definition of coolness! Truly a huge gain for the Gallaghers.

Kelli Redding

Great song. Guitar riff reminds me of George Harrison's 'My Sweet Lord' and Oasis 'Supersonic' :D Live forever, Gem! Andy Bell's former band Ride is awesome too.

I can´t stop listening. It´s one of the best songs I´ve ever heard. The guitar-riff is magic. Gem!! Wow!! It´s like a soundtrack of happiness driving in to the sunset.

What a masterpiece

Rafael Ramone

Gem should had to play this song live when he was in Oasis or Beady Eye too! Why not?! I didn't know why the Gallagher's brothers didn't let him sing some songs. Andy Bell, I tell the same thing.

@Daffa Hazza Nothing about this sounds like boyband music. Noel Gallagher, and Liam Gallagher both greatly respect Gem, and love and appreciate his music. Have some fucking respect
