1) Helix (formerly known as The Helix Field Band) is a Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band. They formed in 1974, and are best known for their 1984 single "Rock You". The original lineup was formed by drummer Bruce Arnold, and consisted of lead vocalist Brian Vollmer, guitarists Ron Watson and Rick "Minstrel" Trembley, keyboardist Don Simmons, and bassist Keith "Bert" Zurbrigg. However, their most well known lineup, and the one that recorded "Rock You", was the 1980s version of the band: Vollmer on vocals, accompanied by guitarists Brent "The Doctor" Doerner and Paul Hackman, bassist Daryl Gray, and drummer Greg "Fritz" Hinz. The history of the band has been marked by many lineup changes, with Vollmer being the sole constant member and only remaining member of the original lineup. Although Hackman was killed in a tour bus accident in 1992, the surviving members of the 1980s lineup reunited in 2009 for an album and have continued to tour since 2011. Watson died in 2019. Simmons died in 2021.

No illusions
Just need a rock n roll transfusion
You're the one
You get me high
When times are tough you always get me by
Thanks a lot
You'll always be the best freinds we've got
So here's to you
Ill raise me glass
Gonna raise Hell, gonna kick some ass
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Ain't that the truth
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You're the one
You keep me rockin' all night long
Sometimes its
So hard
My body's weary and my soul feels gone
I see your face
And then I know
Ain't gonna stop until I give some more
You give me strength
To carry on
So here's to you now here's your song
Gonna rock
What type are you?
Cause you're the one that always pulls me through
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Ain't that the truth
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You're the one
You keep me rockin' all night long
Hit it!
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Ain't that the truth
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me
You keep me
You keep me
You keep me rockin'
Yeah you
You keep me rockin'
Ain't that the truth
You keep me rockin'

The lyrics communicate an unwavering loyalty and dedication to rock and roll music, which serves as a necessary refuge from the realities of life. Helix exalts the transformative powers of rock and roll and its ability to provide a much-needed "transfusion" of energy and strength.
The first stanza reveals that Helix doesn't require money or illusions to experience the thrill and healing properties of rock and roll, which they view as a vital energy source. The second stanza acknowledges that life can be tough, but thanks to this special someone, Helix has the strength to keep going. The chorus expresses how this person keeps them rockin' and acknowledges that they are the one who has been keeping them going all night long.
The verses alternate between moments of weakness and strength, which the chorus drives home with the affirmation that this person is the one responsible for keeping Helix motivated and moving. The celebratory bridge expresses how Helix will raise their glass to their friend and rock out together, with the intention of raising hell and kicking ass.
Overall, "You Keep Me Rockin'" is an affirming and uplifting tribute to a special person who has been instrumental in Helix's rock and roll journey.
