You'll notice in Mecha's review G-Exes has the blue Bandai logo. The HG and MG Age kits were so rare before the re-release. I think it was early September

AGE kits basically started the good Gunpla standards we have these days. This includes the SD. I remember buying these back in college and they still hold up almost 10 years later after I built them

Agreed. All of the parts primarily the polycaps are the sturdiest I have ever seen.

But just my personal opinion though, the following G-Reco series HG kits seems like a backward step in Gunpla standard.

My age FX full burst was the first kit i built as a 11 yr old. My dad helped me so i think i built it correctly, but it fell apart overnight :(

@Bruh I built the Age FX and FX Burst and it's truly a finicky kit. The main issue is the fin funnels tends to fall out from the kit.

I had to triple topcoat the bottom area of the fin funnels just to make it snugly fit with the other parts.

This kit is awesome. The design really evokes ace pilot ms. Kinda feels like if the Hyaku Shiki was a white MS. I have the GXiphos, but will definitely get this and the GBouncer soon.

I just love this guy's straight-up Optimus Prime looking head. I've only just started building kits a few weeks ago, but in the future once I decide to dabble in painting I kinda want to grab this guy and give him the full Prime paint job.

Or I'll just leave him as is and say he's Ultra Magnus. Or hell, why not grab 2 and do both!

Just paint the pecs and mouthplate light blue and you have a Magnus.
Could also be nifty and instead paint it as Minimus Ambus.

You know what, Once upon a time I entertained the idea of a custom build of Powermaster Optimus Prime/God Ginrai. The G Exes/Bouncer was the only candidate/base kit I considered using because the head really matches.

I don't know if someone else mentioned this, but the shield mount hand cuff section can actually be rotated to have the shield on the back or side of the arm without needing a shield adapter with 2 different peg locations

Age was when I started getting into High Grades. I was strictly MG that time but when I saw how good HG AGE was compared to HG Seed and HG 00 then, I started to shift towards smaller scales.

@kaigen999 not because its weird but even though a 3 generations story is a very ambitious idea i just felt that the execution did not really live up to that idea due to its pacing and character motivations but it does have things in it i really liked mostly in generation 2(which is my personal favorite arc) and some of its mobie suits are creative like the gundam legilis

pretty cool kit, I like the G-Bouncer over this kit for it's aesthetics but sadly it has an arm problem making it a lower tier build quality than this one

I feel ya about the Exes i love parts of the bouncers like the boosters Parts of the head and the Shoulders and arms i think most but the Exes has so many Unique shapes that Really standout from anything before and since Plus it has the MUCH Cooler name I Fell ya

To be honest I like all white mobile suits. The blank color palette makes it easier to customize: mold lines, easy to hide; nubs, easier to clean up; palette doesn't interfere with paint jobs.

mecha, some of dspiae markers. i have them and they are really good i think. the gold is great, and they release some new colors. they're acrylics as well. also, brush type, so painting bigger areas is really easy, as well as detailing small parts. really fun

I got this for cheap in a now flattened Tesco back in my bachelor days...I don't know if it was due to wrong barcode or they just wanted to get rid of it quickly, but my face just beams up when the scanner shows the price at checkout

in the anime it is explained the reason why it looks like a Gundam is because its pilot Woolf Enneacle wants to stand out more that he hired the Mardona Workshop to "rip-off" the Gundam Age-1's design based on a photo of it which pissed off its creator Flit Asuno and makes him want to sue them for copyright infringement, lol.

I would really like to have some of these Age kits in my collection, I thought the anime was good, better than some other shows in the the alternate Gundam universe... but... I don't know if it bothers anyone else out there but it appears Bandai only wants to release these Gundam Age and some 00 Gundam kits through Gundam Base and if your not in Japan (or other Asian country with a Gundam Base location), it's really going to cost you to pick them up, like over triple the price... there have been several regular release kits I've been looking for, for several years, and it's killing me to finally see these regular release kits but way above my price range... worse now knowing they're probably now never going to make it to my local Gunpla store either... just makes me wonder if Bandai, like they announced earlier this year, really does want to expand more into the North American market... I don't want to be so negative but it's difficult when things like this happen... for example the HG G-Exes was just recently released but only through Gundam Base...

This is what I was wondering for sometime. How come they don't re-release outside of Japan? Some kits that I skipped due to budget constraints ended up being so overpriced or basically sold out. One kit that I regretted was Age II Magnum which was sold out by the time I looked for it.

Naw they were released globally,i got my mg age 2 dark hound n hg Genoace ll that way,i also got a g exes but i got it at the start of the year, recently finished painting it

honestly, the head gives me strong optimus prime vibes. Also bought this kit a long time ago. it was my first custom... i simply drew apple logos on it and said: if apple madea gundam: this would be it.

I just realized The Core gundam from gundam build divers rerise is based around this gunpla. you can see the similarity on the joint for the knee. Also the waist is the same thing. Look at feet almos tthe smaething

iirc Gundam AGE was supposed to be aimed at a slightly young audience, which is why a lot of the mobile suits have a simple design.

Uh, I don't think being a grunt suit negatively affects the articulation in the slightest. In fact, a simpler design should lend to better articulation. The only grunt kits with bad articulation relative to the standard at the time were grunts released in HGUC when the original Unicorn OVAs aired (ReZel, Jesta, GM II/III, Zeta Plus, Zulus, etc.) and I'm convinced Bandai simply got lazy with Unicorn's success.

it can be customed as guts in berserk armor...
the head is already good, just needs some remodel on the face...
just the swap of shoulder armor with those from barbatos lupus rex, won't recommend the one in lupus since it's the closest one imo...
then either the valkyrja buster sword or the sword mace of lupus, and color it black...
and boom, G-EXES berserk....

my g exes is turning yellow specialy on the spot of the peg holes, idont put then near a window so they dont get sunlight but its turning yellow also my hg spallow and age 1 normal but not my titus or my age 3 normal
