Ville Valo is working on his new solo project under the name: VV.

Ville Valo has composed, produced, engineered, recorded, written, sung and played all the musical instruments on the "Neon Noir" album.
The album cover was designed by Ville Valo together with graphic artist Rami Mursula.
The black and white photographs in the album are by Joonas Brandt.
The mix of the album has been done by Tim Palmer.
The album will be released on Ville Valo's own label, Heartagram Records, and will be distributed by Spinefarm/Universal/UMG.
NEON NOIR TOUR 2023:
The tour starts on the same day as the album release, on January 13, 2023, at the famous Tavastia club in Helsinki, where Ville Valo will give three shows, all tickets for these three shows are sold out.

Neon Noir is the debut solo album by VV, Ville Valo the leader of HIM.
Neon Noir emerges from the same universe of desolation, pain and extravagance that Ville Valo inhabited when he led HIM, although new nuances are perceived in VV, as is the case with the aged aromas of a good Cabernet.
“We were just hoping to temporarily redirect the blood flow of hard rock from the nether regions to the heart,” recalls Ville Valo, the singer, songwriter and frontman of HIM. Judging by the Heartagram's monolithic presence in any description of music this side of the millennium, it's evident that it was very successful. Valo was always inspired by great artists and writers, from Edgar Allan Poe to Charles Bukowski, tinged with a penchant for Black Sabbath-esque scented melancholy. Ville Valo's creativity would go on to produce eight era-defining studio albums, over ten million album sales, seven platinum and eight gold awards, a Grammy nomination, countless magazine covers, critical acclaim and the veneration of an entire generation.
