2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

But now I know I'm free
You took my hand and led me out of the darkness
To help me find a brand new me (Baby)
Though all the world around me criticized
The love you gave was never compromised
I never heard you say through all of the madness
There's no denyin' I feel the same way too
Baby, I would die for you (Yeah)
I would (Die for you)
With you I know I'm in a place
That darkness can not touch
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Givin' it all up to the feelin'
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Baby, I know you've got that somethin'
(Givin it up)
Learning the truth, that exposed me to my blindness
Has opened up my world
Gone are the barriers that kept me out in darkness
Living in a twilight world
You guided me, where others feared to tread
And through it all no grudging words were said
I never heard you say through all of this madness
Maybe, maybe
There's no denial I feel the same way too
Honey, I would die for you
I would (Die for you)
With you I know I'm in a place
That darkness can not touch
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Givin' it all up to the feelin'
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Babe, I know you've got that somethin'
Babe, I know you've got that somethin'
Give it up!
I want to give it up!
There's no denial I feel the same way too
Baby, I would die for you (Yes)
I would (Die for you)
With you I know I'm in a place
That darkness can not touch
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Givin' it all up to the feelin'
Givin' it up
Givin' it up
Babe, I know you've got that somethin'
Babe, I know you've got that somethin'
That's why, I'm givin' it all up to you, Baby!
The lyrics to Incognito's "Givin' It Up" express the singer's journey towards finding love and acceptance. In the past, the singer struggled with sadness and darkness, but their lover helped them find a new sense of self. The singer acknowledges that the world may criticize their love, but it's never compromised. Despite the chaos and madness of life, the singer feels the same way as their partner and is willing to die for them. Together, they've created a place that darkness cannot touch, and the singer is willing to give up everything to be with their lover.
The lyrics show a transformation from darkness to light, from loneliness to love. The singer is grateful for their partner's guidance and unconditional love, which leads to a reciprocal feeling of love and devotion. The repetition of "Givin' it up" throughout the song suggests a relinquishment of control, a surrender to the emotional power of love. The singer no longer wants to fight against the feeling but is willing to fully embrace it and give themselves up to it completely.
Overall, "Givin' It Up" is a celebration of love and the transformative power of human connection. It's about finding someone who helps us navigate through difficult times and shows us a new way of living. The song's upbeat rhythm and catchy melody ensure that that the message of love and hope stays with the listener.
