2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We try and find a way, through the places and spaces in the game
We spend a long time running from ourselves
Before we can discover who we are
[Chorus]
Talkin` bout roots
Back to a way of life
Roots
Ah yah, yah
Talkin` bout roots, back to a way of life
Roots
Ah yah, yah
Back to a way of life
Take a step inside, your cultural desires await you
We owe it to ourselves to seek the primal spark that caused the flame
We spend a long time running from ourselves
Before we can discover who we are
[Chorus]
Water is not stronger than the blood
[Chorus: x 2]
The lyrics to Incognito's "Roots" speak to the two key themes of identity and heritage. The song recognizes that we live in a world that demands understanding, and that in order to figure out who we are and where we come from, we must first dive into the past. The lyrics urge us to take a step inside our cultural desires and seek out the "primal spark" that started it all. It's only then that we can fully discover and understand who we are.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Talkin' bout roots" and "Back to a way of life" several times. This repetition emphasizes the idea that to understand ourselves and embrace our full identities, we must get in touch with our roots and ancestral history. By doing so, we can discover a way of life that is more in tune with our true selves.
The line "Water is not stronger than the blood" further emphasizes the importance of our heritage and bloodlines. It suggests that the ties that bind us to our ancestors and their stories are more powerful than any outside influence.
Overall, the song encourages us to explore our cultural identity and heritage in order to fully understand ourselves and lead a more authentic life.
