Soon after the release of their first album, El Equilibrio de los Jaguares, José Manuel dropped out of the band and Federico Fong took a break from the band, relatedly, as well. Saúl and Alfonso looked for a person who could replace José Manuel. After a period of time, Saúl found the perfect replacement, César López Garcia, most famously known as "El Vampiro" (During Saúl's time in Caifanes he once called "El Vampiro" to invite him to Caifanes, but his invitation was declined, because "El Vampiro" felt in a good position; He was in Azul Violeta during this time. He was also a member of Maná from 1991-1994.) The look for a guitarist was over, but the search for a bassist was still remaining. Sabo Romo, the ex-bassist of Caifanes, was invited to join Jaguares and he accepted. Saúl added one more musician to Jaguares, Jarris Margalli; Jarris did keyboards and samplers.
After the release of their second album, Sabo took a break from the band and Jarris was fired from the band, because Saúl and Alfonso didn't need him in the band, since he was only doing small things in songs that were basically, needless. Jaguares got their name from one of Saúl's dreams. He dreamt that he was singing in a jaguar's mouth.
In 2007, Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur was released. It is a compilation album of various artists covering songs of John Lennon to benefit Amnesty International's campaign to alleviate the crisis in Darfur. In it Jaguares cover the protest song "Gimme Some Truth" from Lennon's 1971 album Imagine.

Entre Tus Jardines
Jaguares Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
me quise elevar,
Sobre tu piel
Y cobijar mi aura
Tú
flotaste más
Te fuiste ahí
Ni tus sueños, ni tus manos
Yo
te seguí hasta ahí
Y naufragué
Y ahora floto en mi barco
Entre tus jardines
Yo
quise cambiar
Tu claridad
Y orientar mi causa
Tú
cambiaste más
Te fuiste ahí...
Donde los ciegos crean
Sus colores y sus formas
Yo
yo te seguí
Y naufragué
Y ahora floto en mi barco
Entre tus jardines
Yo
me quise elevar
sobre tu piel
Y cobijar mi aura
The lyrics to Jaguares' song "Entre Tus Jardines," which translates to "Amongst Your Gardens," describe a love that has caused the singer to feel lost and confused in their emotions. The song begins with the singer expressing their desire to rise above the physical realm and connect with their partner on a deeper level. They want to wrap their soul in their partner's skin and find comfort there. However, their partner seems to be disconnected from reality and has drifted away into a place where no one can find them, including their dreams and aspirations. Despite this, the singer continues to follow them, but finds themselves floundering in a sea of confusion.
As the verses progress, the singer expresses their desire to change their partner and guide them to a better path. However, as they try to do so, their partner continues to drift away, creating their own reality where blindness is the norm, and colors and shapes are created by those who cannot see. The singer follows their partner once again, only to find themselves lost once again. However, they no longer feel completely adrift, as they have found temporary refuge within the gardens created by their partner. The song ends with a repetition of the first verse, emphasizing the recurring theme of wanting to connect with their partner on a deeper level.
Overall, the lyrics of "Entre Tus Jardines" convey a poignant sense of confusion and loss within a relationship. The singer wants to connect with their partner, but finds themselves at odds with their partner's own desires and realities. The use of words such as "flotar" (float) and "naufragar" (flounder) add to the sense of being lost and disconnected.

Yo me quise elevar,
I tried to rise above,
Sobre tu piel
over your skin
Y cobijar mi aura
and envelop my aura
Tú flotaste más
You floated further
Te fuiste ahí
You went there
Donde nadie te encuentra
Where no one can find you
Ni tus sueños, ni tus manos
Neither your dreams nor your hands
Yo te seguí hasta ahí
I followed you there
Y naufragué
And I shipwrecked
Y ahora floto en mi barco
And now I float in my boat
Entre tus jardines
Amidst your gardens
Yo quise cambiar
I wanted to change
Tu claridad
Your clarity
Y orientar mi causa
And guide my cause
Tú cambiaste más
But you changed more
Te fuiste ahí...
You went there...
Donde los ciegos crean
Where the blind create
Sus colores y sus formas
Their colors and their shapes
Yo yo te seguí
I followed you
Y naufragué
And I shipwrecked

Entre tus jardines
Amidst your gardens
Yo me quise elevar

over your skin
Y cobijar mi aura
And envelop my aura
