I was surrounded by people (yeah)
They came with eyes full of hope and say
"You gonna fly so high unless you break along the way"
I never knew what it meant, I'm not that old to understand
You fall. Stay down. Stop
You thought I would stay fat and glad to walk away from it all
But I came here to say fuck (screw) you and all your friends
That were trying to tell the story from the point of view of the strong
I've got kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
(I've got) Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
I never thought it would take so long
I pretend to forget how the story goes
Progress, unless the past disturbances come to steal the show
I will not let it go on. I'm way too sharp to go low
Stand up, keep up, stop
I became my private joke (yeah), just to make you dizzy
A child of the craft is not too bad for a broken soul
And when I was young, I thought I didn't need to
Watch my back and pockets from someone that lives so close
I've got kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
(I've got) Kites on my shoulders and dollars on my hands
