For over 7 years he was the singer, bassist and songwriter of a band who rocked North Germany with a dark melodic grunge-rock sound. After moving to Berlin and being inspired by his influences Jan found his passion in electronic music. Making a tough decision to quit the band, he traded his guitar for an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix and began producing and performing solo.
Today his sound can be described as a mixture of Radiohead, Muse, Bodi Bill, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden - a beautiful balancing act between melancholic, melodic electro-pop and euphoric minimal techno making Jan one of the most interesting and promising young artist in Berlin at the moment."

No, I don't think about you
I don't think about you
No, I don't think about you
No, I don't think about you
I don't think about you
No, I don't think about you
No, I don't think about you
No, I don't think about you
The tape that I made you
Don't ever remind me of you
I don't think about you
When I notice your toothbrush
By the sink with a coat of dust
No, I don't think about you
Your smell on the pillow
Helps me to let go
And not think about you
The words that I made you
I remember I knew
Still I don't think about you
When I find your hair
Next to your jacket on my white desk chair
No, I don't think about you
The repetition of "I don't think about you" throughout this verse suggests a defense mechanism being put up by the singer to convince themselves that they are not dwelling on thoughts of a past relationship. The continuous denial and insistence on not thinking about the person in question highlights a struggle within the singer to truly move on from this individual.
The mention of a tape that was made for the person and a toothbrush left neglected with dust both symbolize remnants of the past relationship that serve as painful reminders. Despite these physical reminders, the singer maintains their determination not to think about the person. The toothbrush covered in dust and the forgotten tape indicate a sense of abandonment and neglect, further emphasizing the singer's attempt to distance themselves emotionally from the memories associated with the person.
The reference to the person's smell on the pillow and finding their hair next to personal belongings on a desk chair unveils a lingering presence of the individual in the singer's living space. These sensory details represent the intangible connections that remain even after a breakup. The act of letting go is illuminated here, indicating a conscious effort by the singer to release themselves from the emotional ties that bind them to the past relationship.
The conflicting emotions of remembering the words shared with this person while simultaneously trying not to think about them create a complex internal struggle for the singer. Despite the intimate memories and remnants of the past relationship scattered throughout their surroundings, the singer's repetition of "No, I don't think about you" reflects a steadfast determination to suppress these thoughts. Ultimately, the lyrics of the song convey a battle between reminiscing on the past and striving to move forward into a future free from the weight of past love.
