People who are unprepared or insincere are unable to handle the difficult conditions and odds that come with pursuing their dreams.

The inefficient mob are not sufficient for the listening squad
Those who are not efficient or committed are not capable of achieving their goals or satisfying the expectations of their audience.

They'd make good golfers, constantly below par
These people are mediocre at best and will always fall short of their intended targets.

Love to kill so much their own hearts are in their holsters
Some individuals are so ruthless and focused on crushing others, that they have lost the capacity to feel emotions themselves.

Now that's Asian, Black and White lies
This problem is not unique to any particular race or ethnicity, as people of all backgrounds can be guilty of dishonesty.

Even if you were dressing me you couldn't pull the wool over my eyes
Even if someone else were trying to deceive or mislead me, I am not easily fooled.

Watch the temperature gauge, set to raise a couple of centigrade
I am aware of the potential for things to become more difficult, and I am preparing myself for these challenges.

While all the rest are trying to acclimatise
Others are struggling to adjust to new conditions, but I am confident in my ability to adapt and thrive.

Others recognize that I possess a positive and motivated attitude towards life.

When I create or produce something, it is full of life and vitality, like a bright and colorful work of art.

While some may seek fame and recognition, that is not my primary goal or motivation.

You have to be dry to be idolised
To be an idol or a role model, one must be unemotional and detached from personal desires and ambitions.

But that's by the by,
This is irrelevant to me and my goals.

I'm more concerned with spreading love through soul music and taking care of my firefly
My primary focus is on creating and sharing music that touches people's hearts and promoting positivity and caring for those close to me.

Imagination is all I'm needing to give me wings
I am empowered by my own imagination, which allows me to soar and achieve great things.

Limiting the negative, take me to the required high
I am able to overcome negativity and focus my energy on achieving the heights of success that I desire.

Work for no reward
I am willing to work hard and make sacrifices without any immediate or guaranteed payoff.

Plot the course for this boat of yours
I am taking control of my own life, and planning out the steps I need to take to achieve my goals.

Sail life's sea reach lowly shores
I am willing to brave the ups and downs of life's journey, and reach even the most modest of destinations.

With no wind to push you along, try and row with oars
When there is no external motivation or support, I am still capable of propelling myself forward through my own efforts.

I am willing to let go of aspirations or goals that are holding me back from success, and focus only on what truly matters.

I am aware that setbacks and challenges are always possible, and am taking steps to prepare myself to handle them.

There are difficult conditions and potential obstacles awaiting me, but I face them with determination and resilience.

What lies in wait could be a nasty surprise
There may be unexpected setbacks or challenges, but I am ready to confront them head-on.

Despite the challenges that lay ahead, I am confident that there is a smooth and successful future waiting for me just beyond my current situation.

I hope that I am not met with another unexpected or disastrous setback that would throw me off course.

Others may hope for success without taking any action or making any effort to achieve it.

Some make it through the heavy storm and the success rate heightens
Those who are determined and resilient are able to overcome difficult challenges and increase their chances of achieving success.

But too many get washed away and often stay,
Many others are not able to achieve their goals and are left feeling lost or stuck in their current situation.

Floating downstream as driftwood with not a lot to say
These people are directionless and without purpose, and generally feel unimportant or insignificant.

Not me man I flow with the current
I am able to navigate through life's challenges and opportunities with grace and ease, rather than being bogged down or lost in the flow.

And watch em try and fight the tide when they know that they couldn't
I observe others futilely struggling against the tide of life's challenges, knowing that they are unable to overcome them.
