Restless nights but lullabies
Helps make this pain go away
I realize I let you down
Told you that I'd be around
Building up the strength just to say
I'm sorry
You told me
This time is the last time that I will ever beg you to stay
But your already on your way
Filled with sorrow, filled with pain
Knowing that I am to blame
For leaving your heart out in the rain
And I know your gonna walk away
Leave me with the price to pay
Before you go I wanted to say, yeah
That I'm sorry
For breaking all the promises that I wasn't around to keep
You told me
This time is the last time that I will ever beg you to stay
But you're already on your way
Can't make it alive on my own
But if you have to go, then please girl, just leave me alone
'Cause I don't want to see you and me going our separate ways
Begging you to stay
If it isn't too late
I'm sorry
For breaking all the promises that I wasn't around to keep
It's on me
This time is the last time that I will ever beg you to stay
But your already on your way
But your already on your way
The Jonas Brothers' song "Sorry" is a classic representation of lost love and heartbreak where the singer attempts to apologize to his former lover for his past mistakes. The lyrics express deep regret and a sincere desire to make amends for breaking his promises. The first verse speaks of sleepless nights full of lullabies and broken hearts full of goodbyes; the singer is aware of the pain he has caused and seeks to alleviate it through his sincere apology. In the second verse, the singer acknowledges that he is the one to blame for leaving his lover's heart out in the rain, and despite knowing that she's going to leave him, he still attempts to make things right by saying sorry.
The bridge is a plea for forgiveness, where the singer admits that he can't make it on his own without his lover and begs her to stay. He knows that it might be too late, but he still hopes for one last chance to make things right. The chorus repeats the apology and promises that he won't make the same mistakes again. Despite all of his apologies and attempts to make things right, he knows that his lover is already on her way and it's too late for them to reconcile.
Overall, the song "Sorry" is a poignant expression of heartache, regret, and remorse. It illustrates the pain of losing someone you love and the deep longing to make things right.
