The lyrics of Jorge Gonzalez's song Mi casa en el árbol tells the story of a person who dreams of having a house in a tree where they can draw and write their stories, listen to the birds singing, and enjoy their favorite meals. The person wants a rope ladder to climb up to their house, and wishes to experience the rain in September with a telescope to see the distance. The house in the tree represents a place of solitude, where the person can enjoy their own company and feel free from the expectations and pressures of society. The song expresses the importance of having a place where one can feel safe, happy, and creative.
The song is a reflection of the artist's own experiences and desires as Jorge Gonzalez was known for being an introverted, creative, and sensitive person. The lyrics speak of his personal struggle to find a place of comfort away from the noise and chaos of the world. At the same time, the song resonates with a broader audience who can relate to the desire for solitude, freedom, and creativity.
