José Cura was the first artist to sing and conduct simultaneously (both in concert and on recordings) and the first to combine singing with symphonic works in a ‘half and half’ concert format. Cura made operatic history when he first conducted Cavalleria Rusticana and then stepped on stage after intermission to sing Canio in Pagliacci at the Hamburg Opera in February 2003.

He lost his voice and in the beginning he had
some potential. But hearing him several years
later on youtube extremely poor technique
and almost a ruined voice. I am very
familiar with bel canto and its solid breathing
technique I practice it almost everyday.
In opera one must protect the vocal chords
and not sing roles they are not suited to.
This creates the wobble and if you do not
use the diaphragm and anchor correctly you
will not have a long career. The above singers mentioned used bel canto, Pavarotti, etc.

@GINA6063 He is Spanish by jus sanguinis, born in Argentina. He was educated in one of the most demanding opera schools in the world, the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, where my own father studied years ago. I can witness the excellent quality of the artists formed there.
