The Northern Norwegian band
Judith is a hybrid of four young men from Northern Norway with a different set of musical influences.
It is all rock - could be emo, could be stoner, or more popishlike rock - but the sound is all Judith. Will be avalible on last.fm by the end of 2006.
The American goth rock band
Christopher David made face with Requiem in White throughout the early '90s, making himself one of goth rock's rising stars around his native New York City. By 1995, he hooked up with bass player Damian James and drummer Brian Veit for a new project, a darkwave experimental group they called Judith. They made their debut that April at CBGB annual event, Night of Misanthropy, and Judith's first album Fรถhn was out by December. Since goth rock was still cult and fan-based throughout America, Judith challenged European audiences. Judith's infectious post-punk sound of lush choruses, heavy bass lines, and worldbeat percussion was strikingly similar to the likes of Die Krupps and Rosetta Stone. A deal with Neue Aesthetik was set by 1998 and Judith issued the beautiful chaos of La Reveuse. Monica Richards and William Faith of Faith & the Muse invited Judith to play the Blackout A.D. tour in 1999; this was Judith's first major tour of North America and dates in the U.K. and Germany followed the next summer. Having spent the latter '90s on the road and recording, David, James, and Veit took a well-deserved break before writing for a third album. Play of Light was issued in fall 2001.

Sorry
Judith Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
where as innocent as kids
Love could easy grow
to the corners of our hearts
unaware of danger
we started to grow up
When we discovered borders
I crossed the line
And now I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry for the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
And now I'm sorry from the bottom.....................
Of my heart
You don't know what you've got till it's gone
and all the damage is done
we were to in-exprerienced
to find our way out
to little understanding
for each others point of view
if i knew then what i know now
There's no reason to shout
heeey
that i'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry for the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
Oh I'm so sorry
Heeyy
Now I have grown up
and i am all alone
i've found myself and now i'm searching for a home
no i'm the woman, i wanted to be
more independant
but is this woman really me
Nothing's left but memories
from our lost paradise
if i'll ever find it again
I would think twice
then i would marrie you
and have ten kids
I would surrender
Just to be with you
Heeeeeeeeeeee
So now I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry for the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
Now I'm so sorry
Heeeeeeeeeeeeee
Well I'm so sorry
Well I'm so sorry
How could I let you go, How could I
Well I'm so sorry
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
The song "Sorry" by Judith is a heartfelt apology to a former lover for the way things ended between them. The lyrics describe a time when the two lovers were young and innocent, and love flowed easily between them. However, as they grew older, they became more aware of "borders" and slowly began to drift apart. The singer admits to crossing the line, but now deeply regrets it and wishes they could go back to the way things were before.
The chorus of the song is a repeated plea for forgiveness and a statement of regret. The singer acknowledges that they didn't understand the value of their relationship until it was gone and all the damage was done. The verses express a sense of self-discovery and regret for the mistakes made in the past. The song ends with the singer expressing a desire to reconnect and start anew with their former lover, even if it means sacrificing their independence.
Overall, the lyrics of "Sorry" are a powerful expression of regret and an honest admission of mistakes. The song is a reminder to cherish and appreciate the people we love while we have them, and to strive for forgiveness when we make mistakes.
