K-Ci and JoJo's first sign of independence came in 1994 when K-Ci covered Bobby Womack's hit "If You Think You're Lonely Now" for the movie Jason's Lyric. Early in 1996, K-Ci and Jo-Jo teamed up for the song "How Could You" for the movie Bulletproof starring Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler.
By July 1996, K-Ci and JoJo finally had a hit on their hands as guest artists in 2Pac's number-one R&B hit "How Do U Want It". It also topped the Billboard Hot 100. The brothers made their side projects into a full album, Love Always. Released on June 17, 1997, the album spawned two top-ten R&B hits: "You Bring Me Up" and "Last Night's Letter". "All My Life" was the number-one song on the Hot 100 for three weeks, a feat that K-Ci and Jo-Jo had never achieved with Jodeci.Love Always went on to sell four million copies, and the success of the album put Jodeci's reunion on hold indefinitely.
Their second album,It's Real, was released on June 22, 1999. It spawned one major hit "Tell Me It's Real" which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard's R&B charts. K-Ci and Jo-Jo returned with X on December 5, 2000. "X", the Roman numeral for ten, was picked as the album title to celebrate the Haileys' tenth anniversary in the music business. They made a strong return to the Billboard Hot 100 early in 2001 with the song "Crazy", also included on the Save the Last Dance soundtrack. "Crazy" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
The fourth K-Ci and Jo-Jo album, Emotional, was released on November 26, 2002, but failed to find commercial success. K-Ci and JoJo released a greatest hits album on February 8, 2005. They are believed to have teamed back up with DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin for a Jodeci reunion album.

Yep yep
Alright
Alright, around
Feeling so good tonight
She said baby, baby are you asleep?
I said baby yes I was, I'm up now (So what's up?)
Then I said baby, baby baby let your head on me
We head
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex,
Middle of the night sex, that's middle of the night sex
It's middle of the night sex, it's middle of the night sex.
She said baby, did you make sure ? is all sleep
I said baby, I said baby, yes I did, so you can scream
Scream loud as you want to.
My baby, would you ? yes I'm going too deep
And baby, after this we're going back to sleep
We head
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex,
Middle of the night sex, that's middle of the night sex
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex
You don't have to worry at all, no you don't
'Cause I love you just as much as you do
What happen to middle of the night sex
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex,
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex
Middle of the night sex, middle of the night sex,
Middle of the night sex.
The lyrics to K-Ci & JoJo's song "Middle of the Night" are straightforward, describing the singer's desire for an intimate connection with their partner in the middle of the night. The song begins with the singer acknowledging their current state, feeling good and seemingly content. However, their partner interrupts their peace, expressing that they cannot sleep. In response, the singer offers comfort, suggesting that their partner rest their head on them. From here, the song takes a sexual turn, as they engage in middle of the night sex. The lyrics allude to a desire for wild and loud sexual behavior, suggesting an uninhibited passion between the couple. The chorus repeats that it's all about middle of the night sex and emphasizes the importance of the intimate act in their relationship, serving as a way to connect with their partner and show their love.
The song easily captures the passion and intimacy of a couple's night together. From the singer's soothing voice to the intense lyrics, the message is clear that their romantic partner is the most important thing to them at that moment. Additionally, the song emphasizes the importance of sexual intimacy in a relationship, serving as a reminder to cherish those moments that bring couples closer. The song is a perfect representation of the emotion involved in an intimate relationship and how it brings people together.
