Manic Sqeeze-box driven Cajun Folk Rock
Formed in 1988, this UK folk rock group has had numerous line-up changes throughout the decades. Local recognition led to their appearance on the main stage at the 1992 Glastonbury Festival. Their blend of folk, Cajun, dub and reggae are eminently displayed on the live cassette, Two Back From The Front. The grassroots response to their fiery performances has garnered this UK-based folk/roots rock band a huge audience following across europe and the UK.
Recently reformed, with a new rhythm section, Edward's voice, songs and accordion playing are still the foundation for K-Passa's position as a favourite live folk-based act in Bristol, England.

Help Me
K-Passa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I think I'm falling
In love again
When I get that crazy feeling, I know
I'm in trouble again
I'm in trouble
'Cause you're a rambler and a gambler
Like a sweet-taiking-ladies man
But not like you love your freedom
Help me
I think I'm falling
In love too fast
Its got me hoping for the future
And worrying about the past
Seen some hot, hot blazes
Come down to smoke and ash
And we love our lovin'
Not like we love our freedom, sweet freedom
Didn't it feel good
We were sitting there talking
Or lying there not talking
Didn't it feel good
You dance with the lady
With the hole in her stocking
Didn't it feel good
Didn't it feel good
Help me
I think I'm falling
In love with you
Are you going to let me go there by myself
That's such a lonely thing to do
Both of us flirting and flirting around
And hurting too
And we love our lovin'
But not like we love our freedom, sweet freedom
The lyrics to K-Passa's song Help Me express the feeling of falling in love again while being cautious of the past and the potential risk of losing one's freedom. The singer acknowledges that the person they are falling in love with is a rambler and a gambler, someone who values their freedom as much as they value love. This creates an internal conflict for the singer, who is torn between the rush of falling in love and the fear of losing their own freedom.
The second verse delves deeper into the theme of love and freedom. The lyrics describe how the past has shown them the destructive nature of love, as represented by "hot blazes" that turn to "smoke and ash." The singer expresses a desire for a better future, but also acknowledges that they love their freedom as much as they love being in love. The last verse is a plea for the person they are falling in love with to not let them go through the experience alone, as it is better to share the hurt and the flirting than to face it all alone.
Overall, Help Me by K-Passa is a poignant song that explores the complicated emotions that come with falling in love. The lyrics reflect the universal fear of losing one's freedom while being vulnerable with another person. The song highlights the importance of communication and sharing experiences with one another.
