Voegele began gaining interest from record labels and management companies after recording a series of demos. The first demo "The Other Side" (released in 2003) was produced by multi-platinum, award winning producer Michael Seifert. Her second demo "Louder Than Words" (released in 2004) was produced by Marshall Altman. Kate signed a record deal with Myspace Records in 2006 and released her debut album "Don't Look Away" (produced by Marshall Altman) in May of 2007.
Kate Voegele recently began a recurring guest spot in six episodes of The CW television series "One Tree Hill" on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Voegele plays Mia, a young singer and keyboardist for a rock band fronted by Jason (Kevin Federline). After Peyton (Hilarie Burton) signs the band to her upstart record label and becomes increasingly frustrated with Jason's attitude, she eventually drops him and the rest of the band, but retains Mia as a developing new artist at the insistence of Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), who is somewhat well-versed in the music industry as well. Mia performs songs on the series from Voegele's real-life debut album "Don't Look Away" including "Kindly Unspoken" in her very first episode.
Kate Voegele performed several songs from her debut album "Don't Look Away" on the The Early Show, Saturday, February 2, 2008 on CBS television network nationally. Kate's band member Sam provided backup vocals and beat box support while Mark played the bass guitar.
In the spring, Kate embarked on a world-wind tour, opening up for the rock band Hanson on their 2008 Walk Tour and gaining a reputation in the music business that will surely be worth remembering.

You've got me back again for more
And it seems
Your song is in my head
This is war
Mystery, how I could feel you breathe me
I was sure you would keep
Every word
Well,
I try to put your stories in line
But nothing adds up right
For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited
Its a shame
That you left me hanging like you did
It was brave
But it was much more foolish
Don't you think?
Cause you know I wont be satisfied
Until you realize
For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited
These things are oh, all so typical
These things are unforgivable
I'm gone and you're invisible now
Don't let me catch you following
Don't ask, cause I'm not offering
You've caused enough of my suffering, oh
For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited
The song "99 Times" by Kate Voegele is a powerful piece about betrayal and the end of a tumultuous relationship. The opening lines express the singer's frustration with being drawn back into a destructive relationship despite knowing that it will only lead to more pain. The repeated theme of war throughout the song highlights the conflict between the singer's desire for love and her realization that the relationship is not healthy. The lines "This is war/Mystery, how I could feel you breathe me" suggest that the relationship has become suffocating, and the singer is fighting to break free.
The chorus of the song is a powerful indictment of the person who has betrayed the singer. For "99 times," the person has looked the singer in the eye and lied, promising to keep their word and stay true to their vows. The repeated assertion that "you looked me in the eye/And swore you weren't lying" reveals the depth of the singer's pain and betrayal. The lines "you left me hanging like you did/It was brave/But it was much more foolish" suggest that the person who betrayed the singer thought they were being brave by ending the relationship, but in reality, they were acting foolishly and selfishly.
The final verse of the song is a bold statement of independence and self-assertion. The singer declares that she is leaving the relationship for good and that the person who hurt her is not invited to be a part of her life any longer. The lines "I'm gone and you're invisible now/Don't let me catch you following/Don't ask, cause I'm not offering/You've caused enough of my suffering" make it clear that the singer is done with the pain and is ready to move on. Overall, "99 Times" is a powerful anthem of self-worth and empowerment, a reminder that we should never settle for less than we deserve.
