Someone I Can Learn To Love
Kerbera Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the beginning
I was empty
Words without meaning
Stars in the light of day
A song without melody
How can you love me?
When I see myself
I see death
It′s black and it's cold
Six feet below

You made me turn to art
Yeah, you are my counterpart
Yeah that′s who you are
With you I become
Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love
With you I become
Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love

I'm losing purpose
Less than nothing
Below the surface
But maybe that's what it takes
To find that melody
How can you love me?
What is it that I cannot see?
No, no
All I know is that what I do
I find as an opposite in you

You made me turn to art
Yeah, you are my counterpart
Yeah that′s who you are
With you I become
Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love
With you I become
Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love

Learning to love, learning to love
Learning to love, yeah
Learning to love, learning to love
Learning to love
Learning to love
Learning to love
Learning to love, yeah
Learning to love
Learning to love
Learning to love

Learning to love, learning to love
Learning to love, yeah
Learning to love, learning to love
Learning to love

With you I become
Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love
With you I become

Someone that I can learn to love
Someone that I can learn to love

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Kerbera's "Someone I Can Learn To Love" are a reflection of a person's struggle to overcome their own internal demons and find self-love. The song starts with the singer describing his emptiness, the absence of meaning, and the feeling of being lost. They compare themselves to death and darkness, emphasising their negative outlook on life. However, they find hope in their partner, who brings colour and purpose to their life. The partner has instilled a passion for the arts in the singer and has become their "counterpart". They have helped the singer see themselves in a different light and become someone they can love.

The chorus repeats the phrase "with you I become someone that I can learn to love" highlighting the idea that self-love is a process and a journey that is aided by the presence of someone who loves and supports you. The singer begins to question why their partner loves them so much and what they see in them, but they are grateful for their presence.

The song ends on a positive note, with the repeated phrase "learning to love" emphasising the ongoing process of self-discovery and self-love.

Overall, the lyrics of "Someone I Can Learn To Love" are a powerful message about the importance of self-love, and how the presence of a loving partner can help a person overcome their struggles and find joy in themselves.

i have been following seike since seremedy days and i have to say that i don´t really like the newer kerbera as much as i liked the older kerbera songs and it´s not that it´s bad but simply because my taste has changed a lot over the years. i mostly listen to music that is complete opposite to this kind of style nowdays. but this song, this is a newer kerbera song that i like a lot and will be listening for a long time.
