Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Kid Rock's song "TV Dinner" offer a dark and satirical commentary on the state of television and pop culture. The different channels mentioned each represent a different aspect of this critique. Channel 1 begins with a question about a "beauty scar" that a "tough guy" has acquired, which is then linked to an explicit phrase about oral sex. This line is an example of the kind of crude and sensational material that is often found on television as a means of attracting viewers. Channel 2 follows this with a reference to a "naughty" and "no-no" situation, suggesting that the sexualization and objectification of women is a recurring theme in media.

Channel 3 switches to an infomercial-like tone with a voice declaring that "this guy is really hot." This is a critique of the shallow way that people are often judged in the media based on their looks and attractiveness, rather than on their abilities or character. Channel 4 then provides a sarcastic commentary on the weather, with someone saying "gosh it's hot." This line is an example of the often meaningless and superficial content that dominates news and entertainment programs. Channel 5 appears to be an advertisement for a product that promises to enhance one's appearance and make it look "natural," yet the fact that it is marketed as an improvement shows how media can persuade people to feel insecure about their bodies and seek out such products.

Channel 6 appears to mock people who are "allergic to Motown," implying that they do not understand or appreciate real music. Channel 7 references LSD, suggesting that media can also glamorize drugs and other harmful behaviors. Finally, Channel 8 laments the way that people "throw away" white bodies, suggesting that the underlying issues of racism and inequality are ignored or even perpetuated by media. Overall, these lyrics highlight the harmful and shallow messages that often permeate the television and media landscape.

Lol. This always tripped me out. A mish mash conversation of sorts made out of random tv broadcast samples.
The only two I recognize for sure is The Abominable Snowman saying Gosh its hot while he's sitting in the sun with Bugs Bunny.
And the line from Steve Williams in Better Of Dead Throwin away a perfectly good white boy

The sample “it looks and feels natural just like a part of you” is from a hair spray commercial. In the commercial they actually called it “The Polyfuze Method” and I believe that’s where the album name came from

The “throwing away a perfectly good white boy” sample was from the movie “Better Off Dead”, I think

There’s a famous story that Howard Stern told on the air in the late 1990’s about receiving a cassette tape back in the late 1980’s from this kid in Detroit who spliced and edited together bits of Stern & his guys (Jackie, Fred, Gary, Billy West, etc.) all screaming at each other and putting a beat behind it and telling a story.

Stern was knocked out by the tape and the tape was made by none other than Kid Rock. Point being, KR was pretty talented in the kooky samples department by this point when he was working on Polyfuze (1991-1992)
