In June 2015, Kris Kross Amsterdam signed a deal with dance record label Spinnin’ Records and released their debut single "Until the Morning" with MC CHOCO.
In March 2016, Kris Kross Amsterdam released “Sex” with American electronic music trio Cheat Codes, which samples the chorus from "Let's Talk About Sex". The single became a worldwide hit, reaching the Top 40 on more than twenty national charts. It peaked at #9 on the UK Official Singles Chart and is currently certified platinum.
Success continued with “Are You Sure?” featuring Conor Maynard and Ty Dolla $ign. In 2018, they released “Whenever” with The Boy Next Door and Conor Maynard, which samples the chorus from Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever”. It reached more than fifteen national charts, including Number 1 in Poland.
Kris Kross Amsterdam then started releasing Dutch songs that prominently sample international hits. In 2019, they scored their first official Number 1-hit on the Dutch official Top 40 with “Hij Is Van Mij” alongside Maan, Tabitha and Bizzey. The song is a Dutch reworking of Brandy and Monica’s classic “The Boy Is Mine”. It has received over 100 million streams and ranks as one of the highest-selling Dutch songs of all time. They repeated the formula with “Moment” featuring Kraantje Pappie and Tabitha, which reworks Nasty’s 1996 classic “Een Moment Zonder Jou”. It became another big hit, peaking at #3 on the Dutch official Top 40.
Multiple Dutch hits with popular singers followed. In 2021, they returned to English with “Early In The Morning” featuring Shaggy and Conor Maynard, which impacted the Dutch and Belgian charts. They then collaborated with Antoon and Sigourney K. on “Vluchtstrook”. The song samples Olivia Newton-John’s classic “Have You Ever Been Mellow”, which was popularized by the Party Animals in the Netherlands in 1996. It became an immediate streaming success and peaked at #2 on the Dutch official Top 40. It is currently certified triple-platinum.
In 2023, the trio again worked with international artists on “How You Samba”, which samples Bellini’s “Samba de Janeiro” and features Tinie Tempah and Sofía Reyes. The song became the trio’s second Number 1-hit on the Dutch official Top 40, but failed to impact the international charts.
