That's what I was thinking.. flying enemies add a whole new dimension for gameplay, and one that can punish you pretty bad if you get caught off guard. I feel like the air burst rocket launcher will definitely be a strong pick in strategems if you know there will be ships or shriekers

Even stalwart, while have allmost no armor penetration, kills chargers and dismantels his leg armor if you shoot a leg from behind. Also I see absolutely no reason to add such the gun into the game if its unable to dismantle chargers armor.

I actually love that a lot of the teases and stuff are done outside of the game. It's kind of like an augmented reality experience that brings the game outside of just the game. By the by, airburst is not a anti air exclusive term. what you are seeing is a cluster rocket, not a flak burst rocket. That it kills a tank is telling about its multiplicative explosions, which are further seen in how the rocket scatters bomblets.

Its a handheld cluster bomb launcher. Basically a downgrade from the eagle version that takes up a backpack slot. Might be fun to blast bug breaches on lower difficulties but I don't see this thing being viable for most content.

I’m hoping that at some point we can get a new backpack stratagem that’s basically just a belt feeding ammo can for machine guns. Like, you put it on, reload your machine gun, and then you don’t have to reload it again, increases its reserve ammo and maybe adds a heat management mechanic instead of reloading. The MG43 and HMG suffer so much from stationary reloading, and you gotta run a supply pack as well to keep them fed. Even if you’re running a supply pack you’re only going to be able to use the weapon in a fight up until the end of that first belt, and only if you’re able to get enough space will you be able to reload and keep shooting, which is a huge gamble, now that the bots are gone and it’s nothing but bugs now, constantly rushing you and swarming your position. Plus, it’s a bit of a waste to run supply pack just to keep your machine gun fed, when it also supplies stims and grenades, and if you’re hogging up all the boxes on your pack, it isn’t serving its intended purpose. A backpack stratagem that looks something like what the Heavy Gunner class in Synthetik and Synthetik 2 would be perfect. Something to make machine guns more viable without wasting supply pack charges.

it's possible that winchester style rifle won't be avalible as a primary or strategem, but as an environmental pickup like the break action, a frontier gun given to colonists to defend themselves, basically, a high power support style rifle found in the world, i think that could be neat, adds a bit more to the environment

@@theFORZA66 the team reload is super useful only if 2 divers pick the same support. Me and a buddy did a duo recoiless and we'd still go all stealth with bots but when ever there was a bot drop we'd take turns and down the 4-5 ships on helldive difficulty who ever had more ammo in the pack

he didnt throw the thermite grenade at the head or the legs.... thats why it didnt do anything. i guarantee this grenade at least strips the armor from the legs, and maybe just maybe kills it if you stick it to the head, if you knew how thermite worked or the weak points of the enemy lmao.

The problem with this is their already set in stone with the HD1 model where certain stratagems are better against the different factions.

For example the shield backpack sucked against bugs but was great vs cyborgs whereas the medic pack sucked vs bots since they usually 2/3 shot you without the shield.

@@ardour1587 doesnt have to be a massive buff just a small one, we already have armours with major buffs against explosive damage for bots and 3 armours that have a 95% buff against arc damage (definitely for when the illuminate come) so I don’t see why we couldn’t have some armour that helps against the bugs

Thermite grenade might be better sticking to exposed weakspots to do continuous damage to those spots before detonation. Those last 3 weapons look like how they are going to implement weapon modifications (grips, barrels, sights , etc.) In the future

You have a point about the whole “we don’t want to carry around ammo on our backs” thing, I used the auto cannon for a long time because it delt extremely good damage to dreadnoughts (ya know, the thing they spam in Helldive) but as soon as I got the Q-Launcher and the L16-scythe, everything changed.

Ended up rocking a shield gen pack or guard dog instead.

For the energy based weapon we saw at 6:36 it's just a remodeled version of the scythe for the rover guard dog, it's in game right now as before it was just a literal scythe strapped to it.

Personally, I think the automatons are being moved up to cyberstan so that the south has more room for the illuminids (spelling?).

Right now, it is left and right sides for automatons vs. Termanids. If they have the illuminids come into the south, they won't have much room to keep them separate. By moving it up to cyberstan, it's closer to 1/3 of the map for each of the 3 factions

what I would like to see added is helmet passives that do vision effects.
like one that shows where stratagems will land, and the blast zone (so if someone threw a eagle cluster beside you it would overlay the ground red in the direction the eagle is coming from and the potential blast zone of the cluster bomb, and if someone used a orbital 380 you would see red circle overlays on the ground for the blast zont where the rounds will eventually hit). a light adaptive vision that negates super bright lights and darkness, and maybe one that reveals cloaked enemies and highlights weakpoint's, and maybe a newb friendly one that shows lines of fire (so for most guns it would be a line for shotguns its a cone, for grenades and grenade launchers it shows the arc and for the arc launcher it shows a line to each thing that the arc would jump to maybe for the first or second jump)

Thermite is designed for melting armor, in WWI it was used against the MK1 tank by the Germans. Very effective, use thermite grenades on bots not bugs lol

It’s just the only “exposed” part which means the thermite won’t shine. If he had thrown it on the chargers head, I think it would have been a kill.

Lever actions, pump actions, single actions, and others that require to operate the weapon to load another round are NOT semi guns. Semi are autoloaders that shoot one round per pull.

Personally, I suspect (hope) that Arrowhead is going to add a new secondary energy weapon to the game, my reasoning being as such:
1. if you look at the energy weapons in the game already, we have 3 that offer beam firing methods (and nobody likes them, but I hope they get buffed), one for each slot (except backpack and 'nade, but ignore those.)
2. we ALSO have some more energy weapons in 2 of those three slots that aren't sustained laser based
3. It would be really freaking cool

Hypothisis:
If it does get added, I think it will be somewhat similar to the Scythe, in that you have to hold fire for a bit before it shoots, but instead of a steady stream of bullets, it will only fire a single slug, but it will rack up the heat very quickly, and have fairly slow cooling both because it has less surface area to cool off, and also to balance it. I really want something like this, so my baby, the Ballistic shield, can finally be truly viable.

I'm willing to safely bet that the Hellbucks are specifically for cosmetic changes and customization outside of specific armor set buys. Also the fact that they look like credit cards could also indicate some kind of narrative "social credit score", which can be controlled for storytelling or balance purposes (and not actually gauge your social credit in-game). I'm not confident on this second theory, but I thought it would be worth noting.

The Thermite grenade STICKS to its target and then BURNS them over time. Id imagine throwing it at "weakpoints" would have better success, like the Chargers butt or a Tanks heat Vent.

Im really looking forward to those Anti Tank mines (probably what they will be called given the naming convention of mines), Anything to help deal with HEAVY and ELITE enemies is always a grate addition.

I would’ve love to see some kind of currency converter in this game. If you have too much requisition, you could say, spend 1000 and get 1 medal for it in exchange or 10 super credits. Many of us now have requisition just sitting there, waiting until new stratagems get released.

The automatons are not attacking the cyborgs by invading cyberstan. Currently, cyberstan is under super earth control and super earth has all the cyborgs working in mines. The bots invading cyberstan would be them liberating their creators from super earth, not attacking them.
