Cumbia De La Soledad
La Santa Cecilia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Sola con mi soledad
Me siento ahogada
En un mar de ansiedad
De un hilo estoy colgando
Ya no tengo porvenir
Los días se van pasando
Hoy me siento tan vencida
Quiero volver a verte
Y tus ojos mirar
Que me abraces fuerte
Y tu cara besar
Vives en mi mente
No te puedo olvidar
Quisiera ser un puente
Para a ti llegar
Entre cuatro paredes
Desde el pasado febrero
Perdida en las redes
Lloro y me desespero
Hoy me siento tan vencida
Quiero volver a verte
Y tus ojos mirar
Que me abraces fuerte
Y tu cara besar
Vives en mi mente
No te puedo olvidar
Quisiera ser un puente
Para a ti llegar
Quiero volver a verte
Y tus ojos mirar
Que me abraces fuerte
Y tu cara besar
Vives en mi mente
No te puedo olvidar
Quisiera ser un puente
Para a ti llegar
The lyrics of "Cumbia De La Soledad" by La Santa Cecilia convey deep feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and longing for connection. The singer expresses a sense of being trapped and suffocated by their own solitude, feeling as though they are drowning in a sea of anxiety. This imagery paints a picture of emotional distress and internal struggles that the singer is facing.
The lines "Me siento enjaulada / Sola con mi soledad" capture the isolation and confinement the singer is experiencing, highlighting the overwhelming weight of their inner turmoil. The mention of feeling like they are hanging by a thread and having no future reflects a sense of hopelessness and fear about what lies ahead. The theme of mortality and fear of death adds a layer of existential dread to the lyrics.
The longing for a lost love is also a prominent theme in the song, as the singer yearns to see their partner again, to look into their eyes, and to feel their embrace and kiss. The intense longing is palpable in lines like "Quiero volver a verte / Y tus ojos mirar" and "Vives en mi mente / No te puedo olvidar," showcasing the depth of the emotional attachment that still remains despite the physical distance.
The repeated refrain of wanting to be a bridge to reach the other person suggests a desire for reconciliation or connection, emphasizing the singer's yearning for closeness and intimacy. The imagery of being stuck between four walls, lost in the digital networks, and feeling desperate and overwhelmed further emphasizes the sense of disconnection and emotional turmoil that the singer is grappling with. Overall, the lyrics of "Cumbia De La Soledad" paint a poignant picture of inner struggles, unfulfilled longing, and the universal human desire for connection and companionship.
