Juan Valiente
La Unión Lyrics

pero tuvo más arrestos
que los demás
los tenía bien puestos
Juan Valiente y su amigo el Serpiente
el banco de la esquina
sus vidas va a cambiar
o van a criar malvas.
Juan Valiente nunca tuvo suerte,no
pero tuvo más arrestos que los demás.
Hoy tú por mí yo por ti la vida da
tantas vueltas.
Van a criar malvas.
The lyrics to La Unión's song Juan Valiente tell the story of a man named Juan who, despite having had no luck in life, has more courage than anyone else. He has a friend named El Serpiente and the two of them decide to rob a bank. As they wait outside the bank at night, smoking cigarettes, they know it's going to be a dangerous and risky job. When they finally go inside, they demand the director to open the bank vault. However, things quickly turn south and they end up in a shootout with the police. El Serpiente is hit by lightning and Juan ends up having to leave him behind. As Juan tries to escape, he is hit by another lightning strike, but manages to get away. The song ends with Juan asking someone to help him out of the situation, acknowledging the unpredictability of life and the power of loyalty and friendship.
The lyrics of Juan Valiente are a reflection of the themes of courage, loyalty, and the unpredictability of life. Despite the risk, Juan and El Serpiente put their lives on the line to make a change in their lives, understanding that nothing is given but everything is earned. However, the reality of life is that things don't always go as planned, and Juan is forced to leave his friend behind as he tries to escape from the police. The song's message is ultimately about the importance of sticking together through thick and thin, acknowledging that life can throw us unexpected turns.
