Problems
Laundry Room Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Why you talkin' 'bout my problems
Like they're your problems
Shit was legendary
'Til you tried to come and solve them
Fuck the secretaries
It's all in the system
Thinking it's the problem
It's only a symptom
I'm not the oppressor
You know I'm the victim
Calling it the one
It was only one and done
This shit weighing on me
I sure feel a ton
But know that in the end
I'm the one who won
Only one to break your heart is you
If you never open up
You'll gon' never get screwed
Keep that on the shelf
Next time you two are throwing food
You do it to yourself
And that's the part that's really crude
Really cruel
Drool you use to think is cute
You now just think is rude
Pool you used to duel and fool in
Now just looks uncool
Buy a flight to Istanbul
I'mma go, I'mma go
Istanbul, Istanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul
Istanbul, I don't know
Istanbul, Istanbul
Turkey, too, and Istanbul
I don't know, I don't know
I don't know, pa-pa-pow
Istanbul, Istanbul
I don't know like Istanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul
Think you just did thought
Is that it's cool, now it's uncool
Now it's true
I'mma buy Instanbul
Istanbul, Istanbul, ay
Watch your mouth 'fore you speak upon my name
Got a shawty in the back, only know her by her face
Got a lot of stories now
That I'll never ever say
If you say the wrong words
You might put me in the grave
I won't ever call the police
I won't ever trust a lame
Say you got a lot of money
I know that's a false claim
If I tell you all my problems
You won't think of me the same
Yeah you mess with me
You always try to move away the blame
I won't lie
I ain't ever tried to fix all of my problems
Let 'em pile up
I know I could do without some
Respectfully, I would've liked it if you ain't come
All I know is that you're worse off than the next one
I don't want to play the victim every time I see you
Your problems are obvious
All of mine are see-through
You can just keep telling me all of the things I can't do
I'll just keep on seeing problems whenever I want to

How has he not came in yet?
Is he in yet?

Overall Meaning

In the lyrics of "Problems" by Laundry Room, the singer addresses the theme of personal struggles and how they are perceived by others. The first paragraph delves into the idea of how others may try to interject themselves into one's problems, portraying them as if they are their own. The singer acknowledges that their issues were significant and noteworthy until external interference attempted to solve them. The dismissal of these interfering parties, likened to "secretaries" in the system, indicates a desire to handle the problems independently without external influence.

The lyrics then discuss the complexity of problems and how they are often just a symptom of a larger issue. The singer clarifies their position as a victim rather than an oppressor, highlighting the emotional weight of these problems that they carry. Despite the challenges faced, there is a sense of resilience and victory in the end, where the singer asserts that only they can break their own heart if they don't open up. This introspective reflection hints at the internal struggles and self-inflicted pain that accompany personal issues.

The mention of Istanbul in the lyrics serves as a metaphorical escape or a distant destination where the singer plans to go to seek solace or distance from their problems. The repetition of the word "Istanbul" conveys a sense of longing or a desire to break free from the current circumstances. The lyrics then shift to a cautionary tone, warning others to be mindful of the words they speak about the singer and emphasizing the importance of personal integrity and responsibility in dealing with problems.

In the final paragraph, the singer acknowledges a reluctance to address or fix all of their problems, allowing them to accumulate over time. There is a sense of resignation in letting problems pile up, contrasting with the facade of strength or indifference projected to others. The focus on individual struggles and the comparison with others' hardships conveys a nuanced perspective on personal challenges and the complexities of navigating them. Overall, the lyrics of "Problems" by Laundry Room capture the internal turmoil and external dynamics surrounding personal struggles, offering a glimpse into the complexity of human emotions and relationships.

Good advice. For people with limited space, they still make a lot of sense, but you set expectations well. For my situation, saving space outweighs a potential for higher service costs, and I personally find the replacement issue of greater concern. Food for thought. The old style one-piece stackables are horrendous, in my experience. 🙂
