Stormy Weather
Laurence Juber Lyrics

Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain't together,
Keeps rainin' all the time
Life is bare, gloom and misery everywhere
Stormy weather
Just can't get my poor self together,
So weary all the time
When he went away the blues walked in and met me.
If he stays away old rockin' chair will get me.
All I do is pray the lord above will let me walk in the sun once more.
Can't go on, every thing I had is gone
Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain't together,
Keeps rainin' all the time
Laurence Juber's song "Stormy Weather" is about losing someone and the emotional turmoil that follows. The opening line, "Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky," serves as a metaphor for the feelings of sadness and hopelessness that come with a breakup. The repetition of the phrase "stormy weather" throughout the song emphasizes the intense emotional storms that the singer is facing. The second verse, "Life is bare, gloom and misery everywhere," further illustrates the emptiness and sadness that the singer is feeling.
The chorus of the song, "Since my man and I ain't together, keeps rainin' all the time," highlights the idea that the singer's life is literally and figuratively cloudy and sad without her partner. The lyrics, "When he went away the blues walked in and met me," and "If he stays away old rockin' chair will get me," suggest that the singer is feeling depressed and alone without her loved one, and that she feels powerless to change her circumstances or alleviate her sadness.
The song concludes with the poignant plea, "All I do is pray the lord above will let me walk in the sun once more, Can't go on, every thing I had is gone." This final passage reflects the singer's deep longing for love and happiness, and stands as a symbol of hope for those who have lost someone they love.

Cedric - it is his signature Martin, I believe made from the standard 44 line (so pretty much as high as you can get which would be 45 line but without the blink). I think the difference between standard 44 and his signature is mostly the Koa back and sides.

does anyone know where I can get tabs for this variation?
