Spectacle
Lennon Sean Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You said you would
But you never will change
You only do it if I do the same
Love is such a dangerous game
A dangerous game
At first I could see
Your smile was so rehearsed
When you gave me your t-shirt
On the honeymoon
Where we never left the room
Sometimes I want to go back there
But then I'll remember
I've got to remember
You're always such a spectacle
Guess it was the best you could do
Your favourite dress for the world to see through
You spilled your drink but you didn't mean to
You're always such a spectacle
You said would but you never will change
You only do it if I do the same
Love is such a dangerous game
A dangerous game
When you told me this
That wickedness is a myth
That was invented for losers
Cause baby the truth hurts
Baby the truth hurts
Well I thought you were shallow
But then I fell in deep
Why couldn't you keep it
Our little secret
You're my only weakness
You're always such a spectacle
Guess it was the best you could do
Your favourite dress for the world to see through
You spilled your drink but you didn't mean to
Love is such a spectacle
Just when you think it's going well for you
Life's a movie that we sleep through
Every little thing that we do
You're always such a spectacle
Nothing ever really does change
Cause if you feel it baby
Know I feel the same
Love is such a dangerous game
Love is such a dangerous game
A dangerous game
The song "Spectacle" by Lennon Sean is a melancholic track that talks about love and the different emotions that come with it. The song's opening line "You're always such a spectacle" sets the tone for what the song is about - a relationship with a person who is always trying to grab attention and put on a show for others. The singer talks about how this person promised to change but never does and only wants to do things if the singer does it too. The lyrics suggest that this person is insecure and seeking validation from others.
The chorus about love being a dangerous game mirrors the idea that the person in the relationship is playing games, both with the singer and with others. The second verse talks about the singer's realization that this person had been hiding their true nature and they had fallen in love with them. But the relationship is still a secret and the singer feels weak around them.
The song's overall theme is about the difficulties of a relationship and the games that people play. The singer seems to be struggling with their feelings towards this person and their own role in the relationship. The chorus suggests that love can be tricky and hurtful, but ultimately, they seem to want to keep playing the game.

I hate it when people say that he's only famous because of his father when he's barely even known.
@TheCaveJunkie
It definitely helped, but he would have become great without his father

I don’t think he sounds a whole lot like his pops like people say. Closer to an Elliot Smith to me.
@johngrayatkinson1214
Who the fuck is his Father?
@henrybeetle5223
@@TheCaveJunkie I know what you mean but he did say his father and the Beatles are his biggest inspiration so if not for John he might not have gone down a musical path. But he 100% has proved that he has talent as a songwriter
@PHONOPOP
This record is a fucking MASTERPIECE. A truly lost gem. All the songs are simply amazing.
@paranoidcomet
After all these years, Spectacle is still one of my favorite songs.
I love his album Friendly Fire to death.
@Pashasmom1
I really like Parachute. I love his voice and his music. But some of the videos are a little odd - remind me of his mother's taste in art and expressions.
@marcondesmarcondable
friendly fire is the pet sounds/ masterpiece of Sean. Getting better with the time
