Wait For Me
Lennon Sean Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Please don't ask me why
But true as the sky
Everyone is born to die
So take your time but don't take mine
Lose yourself but don't lose your mind

Somewhere out there in between
The moon and the sea
I'll be waiting for you my dear
Just wait and see

You can't regret what you forget
If only you could forget it
But it takes time and plenty of wine
The weight of the world there in your eyes

And nothing good will ever come to you unless you try try try
You find yourself in trouble if you cannot tell a lie
It's easy as pie

Somewhere out there in between
The moon and the sea
I'll be waiting for you my dear
Just wait and see

Somewhere out there in between
The moon and the sea

I'll be waiting for you my dear
Just wait and see

Overall Meaning

The song "Wait For Me" by Lennon Sean presents a unique perspective on life, death, and the passing of time. The lyrics suggest that everyone is born to die, and that it's important to take your time in life but not at the expense of others. The opening lines of the song - "Please don't ask me why, but true as the sky, everyone is born to die" - might sound pessimistic, but they actually serve as a reminder that we should live in the present and make the most of the time we have.

As the song progresses, Sean Lennon sings about waiting for someone - possibly a lover or a friend - somewhere between the moon and the sea. The message is clear: no matter how far apart we are or how much time has passed, we can always find a way to come together again. The lines "You can't regret what you forget, if only you could forget it" suggest that sometimes forgetting the past is necessary in order to move forward and create new memories.

Overall, "Wait For Me" is a beautiful, reflective song that invites the listener to think about their own life and relationships. The lyrics are accompanied by a dreamy, melancholic melody that perfectly captures the mood.

You can definitely hear that song in this for sure. It’s almost like a lost Beatle track.

Love this song, love the lyrics. It reminds me of some of the inescapable frustrations of life and how we must accept them and continue to look for beauty even when meaning is elusive. This song is one of the beautiful things that I find when I need to and it reminds me that all of us living people are going through these experiences and that I'm not alone. Thanks for that.
