On January 26, 1986, French humorist Coluche, who had set up Les Restos du Cœur a few months earlier, invited a number of artists and public figures to appear on television as a promotional move. The band, whose line-up was never the same, was dubbed "Les Enfoirés" in reference to one of Coluche's catchwords. After Coluche died in a motorbike accident (June 19, 1986) his widow, Véronique Colucci, called on those who had participated to continue his actions, and the band was revived for a further television show. The concept has since evolved into an annual concert, bringing together up to forty artists and celebrities from various backgrounds. The funds raised by the concerts and derived records under the name "Enfoirés" are donated to Les Restos du Cœur.
One of the key features of Les Enfoirés is "La Chanson des Enfoirés", a song which became a sort of hymn to the charity, written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, a long-time supporter of the organisation.

The lyrics of Les Enfoirés's song Et Moi Et Moi Et Moi can be interpreted as a commentary on the self-centeredness and ignorance of privileged individuals in comparison to the vast number of people and cultures around the world that they are oblivious to. The repetitive use of "et moi, et moi, et moi" emphasizes the selfishness and narrow-mindedness of the singer and serves to contrast it with the enormity and diversity of the world's population.
The song lists off massive numbers of people from various countries and regions, highlighting their unique identities and circumstances, but the singer remains absorbed in their own trivial problems and pleasures. For example, compared to 700 million Chinese, the singer only cares about their headache and liver pain. Similarly, the singer thinks only of their car, dog, and weight loss regimen in contrast to 80 million Indonesians and 900 million starving people.
The theme of the song is about the absurdity of self-obsession and the importance of recognizing and empathizing with others. The final verse even references "petits martiens" (little Martians) - implying that even if there were extraterrestrial life out there, the singer would still be consumed with trivial concerns and egotism.
