When Lil B titled his last digital label released mixtape I'm Gay, he received several death threats. Although he is heterosexual, he says the title is a message of support to the LGBT community. Referring to the alternative definition of gay, he says he is gay because he is happy. Following the death threats, he added "I'm Happy" in parenthesis to the album's title. I'm Gay received positive reviews with many fans commenting on the album's wide variety of positive messages and noting the unique beats and lyrical styles not common to mainstream hip hop. He raps about many controversial issues including race relations, poverty, humanity, and the justice system. The album also, according to many fans, shows the "true" side of Lil B. It entered the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart at #56 and the Heatseekers Albums chart at #20 for the week of July 16, 2011. It is for sale on iTunes but Lil B also uploaded it to the Internet for free, posting a link to it on Twitter and Facebook saying, "for all my fans who don't have $10 to buy my album, here it is for free."
Lil B typically releases at least one mixtape every month; so far in 2012 he has released 13 mixtapes - 4 in July alone. One of those released in July was the massive 848-song, nearly 5GB collection of Based Freestyles, which is his largest release to date. In 2013, hip-hop listeners voted Lil B as the greatest rapper of all time.

The lyrics of Lil B's song "Black Bih Stole" delve into themes of betrayal, revenge, and societal injustice. The opening lines depict a scenario where the singer accuses a black woman of stealing $10,000 from his room. The intense anger and frustration are evident in his retaliation plan of potentially harming her family and engaging in violent acts against her. The repeated lines emphasize the magnitude of the betrayal and the desire for retribution.
As the song progresses, Lil B reflects on the complexities of being a black man in a society that is quick to judge and condemn. He expresses his disillusionment with trust and highlights the struggles faced by black individuals who are often targeted and falsely accused. The lyrics reveal a sense of helplessness and vulnerability in the face of systemic racism and prejudice, where even seeking justice can result in further victimization.
The reference to calling the cops and the dangers of being framed further underscore the challenges of navigating a society that is inherently biased against black people. Lil B denounces the lack of genuine love and support, instead seeing a world where people are willing to betray and deceive for personal gain. The stark contrast between real love and material possessions is striking, as Lil B expresses a desire for authentic connections amidst a backdrop of deceit and betrayal.
The closing verses of the song intensify the themes of vengeance and retribution, as Lil B contemplates violent acts against those who have wronged him. The imagery of seeking out and harming the woman who stole from him and her family showcases a dark and uncompromising resolve to mete out justice on his own terms. The harsh language and aggressive tone highlight the emotional turmoil and moral complexities underlying the narrative, ultimately serving as a powerful commentary on the harsh realities of a world marked by betrayal, mistrust, and the struggle for justice.
