Under Your Radar
Lindi Ortega Lyrics

I threw away my rescue flare
Hoping to crash in mid air
I'm headed for you now
I'm under your radar
I'm under your radar I've been there
Under your radar
Here come the fire works
Soon I won't have to lurk
I've been waiting all this time
You've never seen something so bright
I'm under your radar
I'm under your radar I've been there
Under your radar
Just waiting to crash in mid air
The lyrics of Lindi Ortega's song 'Under Your Radar' tell the story of a person who desperately wants to be noticed by someone they admire. The word "radar" is used as a metaphor for the person's attention or awareness. The singer throws away their "rescue flare" which can be interpreted as them giving up hope of being saved or being noticed. They decide to take matters into their own hands and make a bold move to get this person's attention. The singer feels invisible and unrecognized, but they believe that their actions will make them impossible to ignore - "here come the fireworks".
The lines "just waiting to crash in mid air" speak to the risk that the singer is willing to take to get noticed. They are not afraid of the consequences of their actions and will do whatever it takes to get this person's attention. They've been waiting and watching for an opportunity and feel that their time has come. The song conveys a sense of urgency and desperation that is relatable to anyone who has ever longed for someone's attention.
In summary, 'Under Your Radar' is a song about taking a risk to get someone's attention. The lyrics speak to the desire to be seen, heard, and recognized. It's a relatable feeling and Lindi Ortega captures it beautifully with her words and melody.
