1. The British hard-rock outfit Little Angels formed in Scarborough, England in 1987 while its members -- vocalist/guitarist Toby Jepson, keyboardist Jimmy Dickinson, his guitarist brother Bruce John Dickinson, bassist Mark Plunkett and drummer Dave Hopper -- were all attending university.
At the outset, the group was forced to hone their craft primarily in area schools, as Jimmy Dickinson was too young to play clubs. Originally dubbed Mr. Thrud, Little Angels issued their debut mini-LP Too Posh to Mosh (recorded with new drummer Michael Lee in 1987.
After winning a loyal following on the strength of their live performances, including an opening set for a then-unknown Guns 'N' Roses, they were signed to Polydor, releasing the full-length Don't Prey for Me in 1989. Produced by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero, 1991's Young Gods attempted to break Little Angels in America, a move which proved unsuccessful. Mark Richardson joined the band on drums in time for their third album, Jam, Still, the group's fanbase at home continued to grow, and 1993's Jam even debuted at the top of the British charts. To the surprise of many, Little Angels then disbanded, with the 1994 release of the retrospective Little of the Past marking their passing. The Dickinsons later resurfaced in b.l.o.w.
Lead vocalist Toby Jepson now sings for Scottish rockers - GUN! Jepson also has released 2 EP's with a view to doing a 3rd this coming summer.
2. Pittsburgh punk band on Kill Enemy Records featuring members of Speed Plans, Barlow, Joose, and Ex-Pilots.

The Little Angels are supported financially by the Tongil Group, a South Korean business group associated with the Unification Church, though the Tongil Foundation.

Those darn parasites put him right on the wrong track
He's beginning to crack
Momma said Johnny boy's as clean as a pin
The more she digs the more trouble he's in
Under his skin
[Chorus]
So you don't get used again
You got to keep your eyes wide open
That's the only way to win
No matter what they say
No matter what they do
Don't you take it on the chin
You got to keep your eyes wide open
so you don't get used, don't get used again.
Fab Five Freddy, he's so tough
He's hiding in the closet with all that feminine stuff
Is he tough enough?
Freddie come Freddie go, lowers the veil
Walks like a man to cover up his trail
such a bitch, that feminine itch.
[Chorus]
So you're in trouble again
Did it since you don't know when
Everything seemed so much worse before.
Saying that you lost the plat
You ain't happy with the things you got
All you every wanted was a little bit more.
Little girl Suzie want's to buy an Uzi
Show the little boys just how choosy she is
Just call her miss.
Suzie want to play gonna blow them all away
Had enough of everyone hear the little trigger go click
Just for the kicks.
The song "Eyes Wide Open" by Little Angels is a cautionary tale about the dangers of getting caught up in self-destructive behavior. The lyrics are told through the lens of four different characters, each with their issues that ultimately lead to their downfall.
The first verse focuses on a boy named Johnny who has fallen in with a bad crowd, represented by "parasites," and is beginning to lose his grip on reality. His mother believes he's innocent, but the more she tries to defend him, the more trouble he gets into. The chorus then reminds us to keep our "eyes wide open" so we don't fall into the same trap as Johnny.
The second verse introduces "Fab Five Freddy," who is described as hiding his true self by acting tough and trying to appear more masculine. The third verse features a young girl named Suzie who is obsessed with buying a gun and proving how powerful she is.
The repetition of the chorus drives home the message that no matter what challenges we face, we need to keep our eyes open and not get used by those who would exploit us. The song ends with a reprise of the final verse, suggesting that the cycle may never end, and we must remain vigilant to avoid repeating the mistakes of those who came before us.
Overall, "Eyes Wide Open" is a powerful cautionary tale about the importance of staying true to ourselves and being aware of the dangers that surround us. Through its use of vivid characters and memorable lyrics, it serves as a warning to all who would be tempted to fall into self-destructive behavior.
