Now You Know
London Airspace Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Phrased oh so beautifully,
This hidden apathy inside,
This sudden expectation,
Stranded in these thoughts that haunt me.

So now I'm waiting here
With open arms and open ears,
To finally figure out what lies beneath,
What lies beneath these years.

All this time I've been without you
And all this time I never knew

Waking up to see that I have given you everything
Now you know I need this place to get away

Take time take time
You want to sing it for me
Hope you go

Step back away from me
I gave it all I gave everything
So now I believe you
You could never see
You could never see it through

For you, I need someone to
Step back and see, I never knew
I need I need one thing more
Cause right now this day I'm out the door

All this time I've been without you
And all this time I never knew

Waking up to see that I have given you everything
Now you know I need this place to get away

Take time take time
You want to sing it for me
Hope you go

It's useless, it's useless
Can you just leave me
With all that you could be
So now all that you need is a home

Waking up to see that I have given you everything
Now you know I need this place to get away

Take time take time
You want to sing it for me
Hope you go,
You go.

All this time I've been without you
And all this time you never knew

Overall Meaning

The song "Now You Know" by London Airspace is a tale of a relationship where one person has been giving their all without receiving the same level of commitment from their partner. The opening lines "Phrased oh so beautifully, this hidden apathy inside" suggest that while the partner may not be explicitly communicating their lack of interest, the signs are still there. The singer finds themselves stranded in their own thoughts, plagued by questions about what lies beneath their partner's indifference.

The chorus "Waking up to see that I have given you everything, Now you know I need this place to get away" is a powerful declaration of their need for space and the realization that they must now prioritize their own well-being. As the song progresses, the tension between the two partners becomes more palpable with lines like "It's useless, it's useless, can you just leave me with all that you could be", indicating that the singer may feel like they're being held back from their full potential.

In the end, despite hoping that their partner would understand their needs, the singer acknowledges that "all this time you never knew". The song is a poignant reflection on the importance of communication and the dangers of burning out in a one-sided relationship.

love the videos, have always been searching for someone to make quality flying videos around UK. Nearly finished my PPL at Redhill, might give it a go as well. It may be busy now but a Heathrow transit is mad! give them a call to find out, would make a great video!!

Richard Tyrer

My friend works in the tower at Redhill so will ask him to keep a look out for you! Heathrow transit can be busy but for the transit they use a different frequency to the big jet traffic, so as the airport picks up it still shouldn't be an issue! Safe flying! 😁

Found your channel recently and love the content, DA-42 is a beauty. I used to fly it as part of training and I miss it a lot, super jealous of your flights during these times!

After watching a couple of your videos I am wondering why you picked a Da42 over an Sr22t ? Seems like JetA is the way to go for a round the world trip but am curious whether you considered it.
Thanks for the amazing content, which is a great starting place for my future english proficiency test.

My requirement was to have a twin. Not just for the world trip but for also some over water trips I would like to do around Europe in the winter. Glad you are enjoying the videos! πŸ˜πŸ‘
