2. A hip-hop group from Puerto Rico.
1. Los Miserables is a well-known Chilean punk rock band formed in the early 1990s shortly after the demise of the military regime of Augusto Pinochet. The band is known for its songs charged with strong left-wing political ideas and anti-establishment commentary. The band has clearly presented itself as actvist in its work with major participation in political events, international charity concerts, human rights events, and volunteer work in impoverished Chilean communities. The band has modeled itself in some ways after the famed Chilean band Los Prisioneros, who left a void after their initial break-up in 1990. Their albums can be found in Chile, Latin America, and the United States.
This band achieved major success in Chile in the mid 1990s, and is well known in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico. They have recorded 8 albums, including three live albums, and received gold records in Chile. The band has also contributed songs to major Chilean movie soundtracks - including the main song for the Chilean film El Leyton, a film by famed director Gonzalo Justiniano, of the films B-Happy (2003), Amnesia (1994), and Caluga o Menta (1990). They have also performed in tribute albums to Victor Jara, Violeta Parra, and Los Prisioneros.

Para todo el mundo
Papá llego borracho
Como de coistumbre
Año nuevo, vida nueva
Año nuevo, puesto nuevo
Navidad, mavidad,
Dulce navidad
Felices navidades
Que a diario me regalan
Nuevas atrocidades
Como de costumbre
Año nuevo, sin champañe
Sin pan dulce, sin caviar
Navidad, navidad
Dulce navidad
Dulce navidad
Yo quiero saber
Cual es mi porvenir
Y cuantas navidades
Van a ser asi
Van a ser asi
Felicidades navidad
Para el recien nacido
Nuevas mentes sanas
Para un mundo podrido
Años nuevos que vendrán
Años nuevos que se irán
Navidad, navidad,
Dulce navidad
Dulce navidad
The song Papa llego borracho by Los Miserables is a poignant ballad that encapsulates the pain and struggle of a family during the holiday season. The lyrics start with a wish for happy holidays for all, but the reality soon sets in as the father arrives drunk as usual. The singer laments the fact that every day brings new horrors, and the holidays are no exception. The new year brings the prospect of a new job, but no champagne, fancy bread or caviar on the table. The refrain of "Dulce Navidad" is a stark contrast to the bitterness of the verse, and it adds to the overall effect of the song.
The second verse of the song expresses the hopelessness and despair of the singer. The person wants to know what their future holds, but they can only see more of the same bleak reality. The verse ends with the same refrain of "Dulce Navidad," highlighting the disconnect between the desire for sweetness and the harshness of reality. The last verse of the song brings out a glimmer of hope in the form of a newly born child, and a dream of a world filled with sane minds. The singer recognizes that new years will come and go, but the refrain of "Dulce Navidad" remains, underscoring the longing for sweetness and happiness.
Overall, the song Papa llego borracho by Los Miserables is a touching and powerful commentary on the struggle of everyday life, particularly during the holiday season. It portrays the harsh realities of poverty and addiction, while also expressing a yearning for happiness and hope.

Yo tuve ese cassette, se lo trajo a Costa Rica un compa que fue a Chile allá en los 90s y como a mi me cuadraba el punk me lo regaló. Excelentes recuerdos...
