No Le Pidas Mas Al Diablo
Los Pericos Lyrics

De adonde sea
Que estare brindando por ti
Sentado en mi mesa
Llamare a mi gente junto a mi
No me detendre
The lyrics of Los Pericos's song No Le Pidas Mas Al Diablo describe a person who is struggling to move on from a past love interest. The singer is drinking and partying with friends as a way to forget their pain, but their thoughts keep returning to the person they miss. They speak of making a deal with the devil to regain what they've lost, even if it means giving up their own soul. The chorus repeatedly urges the listener to stop relying on the devil for help, emphasizing the destructive and ultimately fruitless nature of such a bargain.
The lyrics are passionate and highly emotional, using vivid metaphors to express the depth of the singer's sorrow. The "puñal" (dagger) of waiting implies a painful yet unavoidable reminder of the lost love, while the idea of giving one's soul to the devil conveys a sense of desperation and entrapment. The repeated use of "otra ronda mas" (another round more) emphasizes the cycle of drinking and attempting to forget, while the insistent repetition of "no le pidas mas al diablo" (don't ask the devil for more) creates a haunting refrain that echoes throughout the song.
