Y si me ves corriendo
Desiertos o mesetas
Yo prefiero el trayecto que la meta
Se me olvido se me olvido, otra vez
Se me olvido se me olvido, otra vez
Se me olvido se me olvido, otra vez
Se me olvido se me olvido, otra vez
Se me olvido
Los Pericos's song "Se Me Olvidó" is a reflection on forgetting, both literally and metaphorically. The chorus repeats the line "se me olvido" which means "I forgot" or "I've forgotten" in English. This repetition emphasizes the theme of forgetfulness, suggesting a pattern of forgetfulness that keeps recurring. The verses describe a desire to escape and explore, to take a road trip to anywhere, without a clear direction or purpose. The lyrics express a willingness to take risks and not dwell on the past. They convey a sense of letting go and surrendering to the journey, rather than focusing on the destination.
The song suggests a desire for freedom and a break from the routine. It portrays a person who may be feeling stuck or weighed down by their past and wants to break free from it. The lines "No quiero más consejos hoy, lo pasado ya pisado queda viejo" (I don't want any more advice today, the past is already in the past and it becomes old) indicate a rejection of advice or interference, and an acceptance that the past is something to be left behind.
Overall, "Se Me Olvidó" is a song that captures the feeling of forgetting and letting go, embracing the unknown and the uncertain, and finding freedom in the journey rather than being tied down by the past.
