Tatuado En Mi
Los Pericos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Todo se transforma en un disfraz
Tatuado en mi
Queda tu reflejo.
Solo humo de repente
La mitad de lo que siente
Y sin nada mas.
Un capricho del deseo
A cada segundo muero
Cuando vos te vas.
Cuando no estas
Todo se transforma en un disfraz
Tatuado en mi
Queda tu reflejo.
Voy perdido por mi isla
De mis sueños soy turista
Sin una señal.
Como un perro sin su dueño
Como el mar hecho un desierto
Cuando vos te vas.
Tan adicto a vos puedo ser
Tan injusto hoy
Como calle sin salida
Soy una causa perdida
Cuando vos te vas.
Al que todo le resbala,
Al que no le importa nada
Sin disimular.
Cuando te vas..
The lyrics to Los Pericos's song Tatuado En Mi depict a sense of longing and desperation in the absence of a loved one. The singer of the song is left feeling lost and disoriented whenever their significant other is not around. The opening lines paint a picture of a sort of masquerade that the world becomes without their partner - everything loses its color and identity and becomes a shallow imitation for the singer. The reference to the "tattoo" serves as a metaphor for the indelible mark that the missing lover has left on the singer's life. Even in their absence, memories and reflections of the partner remain firmly etched on their soul, marking them forever.
As the song progresses, the lyrics delve deeper into the singer's sense of longing and despair. The world around them seems to become less substantial and less real without their partner. The second verse describes the singer as feeling "lost on their own island", wandering aimlessly through their own dreams, searching for a sign or signal of their partner's return. The repetition of the phrase "Cuando vos te vas" (When you leave) serves as a constant reminder of the singer's pain and despair, emphasizing the fact that everything in the world becomes meaningless once their partner is gone.
Overall, the song offers a poignant and emotional portrayal of the depth of love and longing that can exist in a relationship, particularly in its absence.
