Lost Witness are DJ / Producer Simon Paul and producer Simon Kemper. The dynamic duo met and formed in May 1998 as Dusk Til Dawn and enjoyed the underground success of Fine Night, which in turn brought songwriter Ed Barton into the frame as the third, if more silent member, to complete the happy union.
Vocals of the early hits 'Red Sun Rising' and 'Did I Dream (Song to the Siren)' were supplied by Tracy Carmen.
Paul & Kemper have both experienced similar musical upbringings with Paul's parents heavily influenced by big band and jazz while Kemper's pursued and continue to pursue the opera. Simon Paul has been actively DJing for 14 years, following the peaks and troughs of house music which has inevitably shaped the way he produces. Simon Kemper has been equally molded by keeping himself up to date with his clubbing experiences in and around London. The fusion of both has culminated in a plethora of musical, vocal trance anthems.

Lost Witness Lyrics

and I remember my first rainbow
seems like a thousand years ago I asked
mama what's a rainbow for
she said- after the rain comes, after the rain,
after the rain comes the sun
she said- after the rain comes,
after the rain comes the sun
seven colours curve across the sky
and I remember my first rainbow
seems like a thousand years ago I asked
mama what's a rainbow for
she said- after the rain comes, after the rain,
after the rain comes the sun--
The lyrics of Lost Witness's song 7 Colours is an exploration of the natural phenomenon that is a rainbow. The song speaks about the seven colours that curve across the sky and the singer's memories of seeing a rainbow for the first time. The lyrics reveal a conversation the singer had with their mother about what a rainbow is for. The mother explains that a rainbow appears after the rain and that it signifies the coming of the sun. The song is an uplifting reminder that even after the darkest of times, there is always hope for a brighter future.
The lyrics serve as a metaphor for life, where one can go through difficult times but still find a way to come out on the other side. The rainbow symbolizes the hope and promise of better days ahead. The mother's response to the child's question implies that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and that difficult times are only temporary. The repetition of the chorus, "after the rain comes the sun," further emphasizes this point.
Overall, Lost Witness's 7 Colours is a simple yet inspiring song that reminds us to look for hope in the darkest of times. It is a beautiful celebration of the natural beauty of a rainbow and the promise it holds.

I'd hear this first or 2nd tune in the evenings on Sundays mix on the radio back when I lived in civilization. It took me the better part of 20+ years to find it as I never knew the title.
