Despite recording only in Spanish, he continued to be the best selling Latin artist in the 1990s, and was credited for popularizing the bolero genre into the mainstream market. He has sold around 60 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists.
Latin pop music, along with his personal life and showmanship on stage, has made Luis Miguel popular for nearly his entire career, which started in Mexico in 1982. Having won his first Grammy Award at the age of fourteen for his duet "Me Gustas Tal Como Eres" with Sheena Easton, he is the youngest male artist in music history to have received this accolade. In 1991, the RIAA recognized the high sales for his 1991 album Romance, itself being the third best-selling music album in Mexico, and one of the best-selling Spanish language albums of all time. He was the first Latin artist to have been awarded two Platinum certified Spanish-language albums in the United States with ‘‘Romance’’ and ‘‘Segundo Romance’’ the latter earning him 35 platinum records throughout Central and South America. He is also recognized by Billboard, as the artist with the most top 10 hits on the Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. His album Complices was released in 2008 and peaked at No.10 on the Billboard 200; it is the highest position a fully Spanish composed album has reached. His most recent album ¡México Por Siempre! was released in 2017, and it earned him his second No. 1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums and achieved double platinum status.
Luis Miguel is also known for his high-grossing live performances. He is the first-highest grossing Latin touring artist since Boxscore began tracking touring data in 1990, with a towering total of $278.5 million. With the Luis Miguel Tour, which took place in 2010, he visited 22 countries in North America, South America and Europe, where he performed in a three-year span with a total of 223 shows all over the world, making it the longest and highest-grossing tour ever made by a Latin artist. He also holds the record for the most consecutive presentations in the Auditorio Nacional (National Auditorium) with a total of 30 consecutive concerts as well as the record for the most presentations in the same venue with a total of 258 concerts.
Amaneci Entre Tus Brazos
Luis Miguel Lyrics

Entre tus brazos
Y desperté llorando
De alegría
Me cobijé la cara
Con tus manos
Para seguirte amando todavía
Casi dormida
Tú me querías decir
No sé qué cosa
Pero callé tu boca con mis besos
Y así pasaron muchas, muchas horas
Cuando llegó la noche
Y apareció la luna
Y entró por tu ventana
Qué cosa tan bonita
Cuando la luz del cielo
Iluminó tu cara
Yo me volví a amanecer
Entré tus brazos
Tú me querías decir
No sé qué cosa
Pero callé tu boca con mis besos
Y así pasaron muchas, muchas horas
The lyrics of Luis Miguel's song Amaneci Entre Tus Brazos depict the overwhelming emotions experienced by the singer after waking up again in the arms of his beloved. He wakes up crying tears of joy and hides his face in her hands, as he continues to love her. She wakes up almost asleep and tries to say something, but he silences her with his kisses, and they spend many hours like this. When night falls, the moon illuminates her face and he again wakes up in her arms, and she tries to say something, but once again he silences her with his kisses.
These lyrics paint a picture of a passionate love that seems unbreakable. The singer finds comfort and happiness in the arms of his beloved and cherishes every moment spent with her. The use of imagery throughout the lyrics helps to emphasize the beauty of their love.
This song showcases Luis Miguel's signature ballad style, which is known for its smooth, romantic melodies and emotive lyrics. It was released in 1981 and quickly became a hit in Latin America, earning Luis Miguel a loyal following. The song has since been covered by various artists and remains a popular romantic ballad.

Amanecí otra vez
I woke up once again
Entre tus brazos
in your arms
Y desperté llorando
and I woke up crying
De alegría
with happiness
Me cobijé la cara
I covered my face
Con tus manos
with your hands
Para seguirte amando todavía
to keep loving you still
Despertaste tú
you woke up
Casi dormida
almost asleep
Tú me querías decir
you wanted to tell me
No sé qué cosa
I don't know what
Pero callé tu boca con mis besos
but I silenced your mouth with my kisses
Y así pasaron muchas, muchas horas
and so many hours passed
Cuando llegó la noche
when the night came
Y apareció la luna
and the moon appeared
Y entró por tu ventana
and entered through your window
Qué cosa tan bonita
what a beautiful thing
Cuando la luz del cielo
when the sky's light
Iluminó tu cara
illuminated your face
Yo me volví a amanecer
I dawned again
Entré tus brazos
in your arms
Tú me querías decir
you wanted to tell me
No sé qué cosa
I don't know what
Pero callé tu boca con mis besos
but I silenced your mouth with my kisses
Y así pasaron muchas, muchas horas
and so many hours passed
