M.I.K.E. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No matter how you play
The rules are broken
You may dabble in your magic
But please remember
A debt of souls will always be repaid
In a universe with no duality
Only chaos in perfect balance
All you've done
Will be reclaimed
Everyone expires
No matter where you hide
The cycle must continue
You may wander with the shadows
But please remember
The dark is just a catalyst for light
And on your final day
All those second chances spent to change your ways
Will mean nothing
When on your final day
All those hidden demons come to show their face
The song "Fable" by M.I.K.E. is a thought-provoking piece that speaks to the inevitability and balance of life. The lyrics are a reminder that there are always consequences to our actions and that it is impossible to escape the cycle of life and death. The opening line, "someone always loses, no matter how you play," sets the tone for the rest of the song. It's a reminder that even when we think we have everything under control, there will always be unforeseen consequences.
The second verse, "everyone expires, no matter where you hide," speaks to the inevitability of death. No matter how much we try to avoid it, it is a part of life. The line "the dark is just a catalyst for light" acknowledges that even in the darkest of times, there is still hope that things will get better. The final lines of the song, "all those hidden demons come to show their face," remind us that we cannot run from our past forever, and that eventually, we must confront our mistakes and shortcomings.
