The lyrics of MAX's song "Not Alone" expresses the wistful longing for the companionship of someone who understands and accepts you. The song starts with the singer holding onto their phone and feeling their heart tremble despite knowing they can just easily meet up with their special someone. They feel that they see the same starry sky but in a different way. They always want to be with them and feel like they understand their own self better when they are around. The song then shifts to the moment of meeting their special someone, and though the singer is hesitant with their words at first, they feel that it doesn't matter. They believe that true happiness may only be recognized once it has passed. The song ends with the singer believing that all the things they want to do are possible because they have found their special someone.
The lyrics of the song express a universal theme - the deep desire to be with someone who understands and accepts you. The song explores themes of love and loneliness and the power of companionship to transform one's life. The singer expresses that being with someone who understands you can give you the courage to pursue your dreams and find true happiness.
