We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
We could rule the world
From the wrong to the right light
To the open stream
With a crash and burn
We can make it better
Turn it upside down
Just you and me
We are the dream
No other way to be
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
I could change the world
I can make it better
Kick it up and down
Took a chance on me
When you fake a smile
And you think you're better
Gonna put it down
Whip it at your feet
No bridge to burn
Nowhere to turn for me
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
What do they know about us?
Are they thinking of somebody else?
Are they wondering what we might be?
Are they thinking of you or of me?
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees
We are young (I could rule the world)
We are strong (On a silver platter)
We're not looking for where we belong
We're not cool
We are free
And we're running with blood on our knees (Just you and me)
We are young
We are strong
We're not looking for where we belong (Just you and me)
We're not cool
We are free
The lyrics to Mika's song "Kick Ass" are about the power of young people and the belief that they can change the world. The opening line "We are young, We are strong" highlights the confidence and strength of youth. The lines "We're not looking for where we belong, We're not cool, We are free" suggest that young people do not necessarily conform to societal norms and expectations.
The line "And we're running with blood on our knees" is a metaphor for the struggles and sacrifices young people may face as they strive to achieve their dreams. The chorus repeats the main message of the song that young people have the power to make a difference in the world. The line "I could change the world, I can make it better" is a clear statement of this belief.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of outsiders and the potential for people to misunderstand or underestimate young people. The lines "What do they know about us? Are they thinking of somebody else?" suggest that society may not truly understand the potential of young people.
Overall, the lyrics of "Kick Ass" celebrate the power and potential of young people and encourage them to believe in themselves and their ability to make a difference.

@Veteransolo
I'm 26 almost
I will never forget my teen years,
They were e best days of my life,
I seen kick ass 1 when I was about 13 or 14,
Those days were awesome
YouTube was created, Facebook,
Derp memes, we were the generation between technology and simplicity,
Us 90's kids truly lived a blessed era.❤
and to all the 90's kids out there who feel nostalgic all the time,
Don't worry,
You're not alone,
Stay young, stay strong,
But most importantly stay free,
God bless you all.❤
